Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console

Please help with nintendo ds lite

I have a Nintendo ds lite that worked fine and then i replaced the battery and now it keeps repeating the initial set up. I let the battery charge fully before i tried to use the system and still the same thing. So i let the battery run all the way down and then charged back up and still nothing.
HELP PLEASE WHY IS THIS HAPPENING and can it be fixed?

How to reset Nintendo DS Lite.

Remove the cover for the battery compartment. At the back of the DS Lite, the cover has a small screw holding it in place. You will need a Phillips size 0 screwdriver to remove it.
Take out the DS Lite's battery pack. There is a tab at the top of the battery pack. Insert your fingernail or the end of the screwdriver carefully into the edge of this tab and pop out the pack.
Keep the battery pack out of the unit for at least 10 seconds. If you keep the battery pack out for too short of a time, it will not cause a reset in the unit.
Put the battery pack back. Just line it up in the compartment and push it back into place.
Replace the cover. Replace with the screw.
Turn on the DS Lite. If the unit has properly reset, a screen will come up that reads "Before you begin, you must adjust system settings." You can now enter all new settings and information on your DS Lite. If you do not get the system settings screen, you did not keep the battery pack out long enough. Repeat the steps and leave your battery pack out for a longer period of time.

My nintendo DS lite will not turn on. It charges but when i try to turn it on it wont go on

Hi,

If your battery is working fine then chances are your fuse has blown. First see if you can get a battery from a friend to test if that sorts out your problem, if it doesnt then you will need to replace your fuse. I have written guides for both fuse replacement and DS lite dismantling.

My ds lite wont turn on but it charges fine

if your ds is about 2 years old, it's probably time to change the battery. even though the battery is rechargeable, it wont hold a charge as it gets older. no matter how long you keep it on the charger, the battery is truly dead and it wont turn on. if anything, replace the battery. if your ds is brand spanking new, then you probably didn't leave it on the charger long enough to begin with.

hope this helped

New ds lite will not save initial settings

Either the battery has stopped functioning properly and needs replacing, or one of the battery terminal connecters has become loose and needs to be replaced with a new battery terminal (as the battery acts as a lithium battery found in a pc to save the bios settings), but they are quite difficult to desolder and reapply, best bet is to probably get another mobo. Touch screen ribbon cable could have worked loose and needs tweaking or the connector is faulty and again needs to be replaced.

Keeps redoing initial set-up

Turn it on, then let the battery die completely, this will take a while but it may work, then charge it fully and see if it works, sometimes new batteries do that sorta thing

Nintendo ds lite will not turn on, when trying to charge the orange lite blinks once.

after researching this for a while, i heard that it is because the fuses have blown inside the ds. you can try to fix it but it is risky.
good luck!
