The easiest way to repair this is first go to an auto parts store and purchase a spark plug thread repair kit. In this kit will be a tap, to rethread the hole. A spark plug insert to put on your spark plug. What you have to do is tap out the hole, then blow out the hole with air to get all the shavings out of the port. You can use canned air for this if you don't have a compressor. Then install the insert on the spark plug and insert plug and your ready to go. Just remember you must now use the insert on the plug ( you can reuse the insert) every time you replace the plug. Good luck.

Your local part store should carry a thread repair kit as it it quite common. Make sure you protect from getting metal shavings inside of the cylinder.

The area where the spark plug screws into is stripped out. How do I fix that? I have a Husqvarna 455 Rancher

The threads can be repaired using a helicoil. Here is an example. Just make sure to get the correct thread for the unit you are repairing.

2003 bombardier outlander blew spark plug out of head . Threads are stripped what are my options.

What you need to do is install a time cert thread replacement. DO NOT use a helicoil, as it will not survive the heat.

You will want to have the head off for this repair, as chips will fall into the engine.

Spark plug cylinder stripped

This can be repaired with a heli coil ( thread insert ) they are normally a short 14mm thread, an good chain saw/engineering shop will do this for you, or you can purchase your own kit and do it, but this will be expensive if you are only doing one

The plug blew out of the motor. It happened like a month ago and I was able to fic it. Last night it happened again. The new plug wont lock in. Apparantley the head is stripped

The threads are stripped out of the plug hole. It will have to be drilled out, rethreaded, and a HELICOIL installed. NOT recommended for the average backyard mechanic. Have a reputable shop perform this work.

The spark plug in my Husqvarna 326L wobbles and causes the engine to stop because the threads are stripped where it is screwed in.

there is a thing called a helicoil that can fix this issue, they are sold at auto stores. the hole is drilled slightly larger and thread tapped and the helicoil is like a wire tube you thread in and leave and the plug screws inside of it. this is hole they fix bad spark plugs on cars. bring spark plug with you to store and they can match it up for size.

You may need to use a jumper wire between the threaded part of the plug and the cooling fins. You do not have to bend up the electrode.

Ignition module gap
Place a business or index card between the fly wheel and coil, rotate until the magnetic attraction pulls everything tight together. Tighten the coil screws, rotate the flywheel until the attraction eases and remove the card. Ensure nothing contacts when flywheel is rotated.

Erhm well yea i was rideing my nsr 125 other day and then it lost power and stoped i checked under the tank and my spark plug was out how could that of happend?

Hello;
Your spark plug was loose from not being seatewd fully. The compression finally blew it out. With luck you can screw and tighten the spark plug back in. If the threads stripped out you can chase them or if real bad you can install a thread insert.
Thanks;
