Question about Thermador RDDS30 Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range

3 Answers

I replaced the control unit and now the display shows LOCKED in the lower right corner. The door opens and the light comes on. The clock and timer work fine. I attempted to clear the locked condition as indicated in the manual, but I always get an F3 code and intermittant beeping. I replaced the new control unit with the old one (with a too dim temp display) and received the same LOCKED message.

Ok, where is the oven temp sensor? Also, I did install a new control unit/clock.

  • rboedecker Sep 29, 2009

Where is the oven temp sensor?

I have already replaced the control unit/clock.

  • rboedecker Sep 29, 2009

Ok, if the sensor checks out ok, and I need to check the wiring, can you refer me to the location of a wiring diagram for the RDSS30? If the wiring checks out ok as well, and I have installed a new control unit/clock, what's next? Thank you.

  • rboedecker Sep 29, 2009

Did you read the previous thread and the original issue report! The door is NOT locked. There are not dials on this oven. Please have someone respond to my last message who is paying attention.

  • rboedecker Sep 30, 2009

Can you refer me to a location where I can get a wiring diagram for the oven?

  • rboedecker Sep 30, 2009

This is the same guidance that I received from the first posting several postings ago. Don't you guys read the whole thread. This is my last attempt to get the information that I need. Then I will request a refund.

PLEASE TELL ME WHERE I CAN FIND THE WIRING DIAGRAM FOR THE OVEN.

  • rboedecker Sep 30, 2009

Our model is RDSS30. This diagram is impossible to read.

  • rboedecker Sep 30, 2009

Thank you for the efforts. Even in the larger view it is impossible to read the legend. According to the tab on the web site, the diagram is for an RDDS30 not RDSS30. Is the wiring the same? How can I get a diagram that I can read?

  • rboedecker Sep 30, 2009

Is it possible to get a copy of the manual?

  • rboedecker Sep 30, 2009

I have the impression that as my request was being passed from one person to another the thread was not being followed. This took much more back and forth than it should.

Hi,

F3 Open circuit detected; oven temperature sensor. C

Check sensor for normal room temperature resistance (1085-1097 ohms at 75 degrees F).
Check wires and connections between electronic range control (also called clock or ERC) and oven temperature sensor

Replace sensor if other components check normal. Replace electronic range control (also called clock or ERC) if fail code reoccurs

Please leave me comment, if yu need furthur assistance

OK........here's what you do. Find the main circuit breaker for your oven. Turn it off for fifteen minutes, then flip it back on. This should allow the door to open. Another thing sometimes, the dial for self clean will hang up, but the circuit breaker trick should fix it for you.
the temperature also needs to drop low enough to unlock (after cleaning cycle)

There is a bad capacitor or resistor on your control board and it is not sending correct voltage currents and causing a system error. Otherwise you have a short or open circuit in your wiring to control board or door sensor.

Hi,

F3 code refers to - Open circuit detected; oven temperature sensor. Check sensor for normal room temperature resistance (1085-1097 ohms at 75 degrees F). Check wires and connections between electronic range control (also called clock or ERC) and oven temperature sensor.

Solution - Replace sensor if other components check normal. Replace electronic range control (also called clock or ERC) if fail code reoccurs.

The above explanation is described as per Thermador!!

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Water is not coming into my Maytag dishwasher.

Hi,
Is the door open or unlatched?Make sure the door is completely closed and latched. On models with a dual-digit display, the control displays "- -" during a cycle if the door is not latched. Check for obstructions (spoons or utensils), that may be interfering with the door operation. A lower dish rack that is installed backward will also cause incomplete door closure. The lights for cycles selected will flash if the door is opened while running a cycle.
Is there power to the dishwasher?Check your household electrical box to see if a fuse has blown or if the circuit breaker has tripped. If the unit has a plug-in power cord, make sure it is plugged in.
Does your dishwasher have a rotary timer knob? The cycle selection must match the position of the timer knob. Turn the timer knob to the beginning of the preferred cycle. The timer knob should click when you reach the start of the cycle.
Is the control lock option activated?
The indicator light next to the lock graphic will illuminate when the controls are locked. Press and hold the Heated Dry option (button with lock icon) for three seconds and the light should turn off. Instructions are also placed on the label on top of the inner door to unlock the controls.
Is the delay start option activated? To cancel the delay and cycle, press Start/Cancel twice.
Is the water shutoff valve turned on?Make sure that the water shutoff valve is turned on.

After a power failure I am getting the code e1 f1 flashing on my display board and it will not go away.

q.gif Why is the display showing E"#"-F"#," for example, E1-F2?
Answer Is "PF" displayed on the control?
A temporary power failure has been detected. Press the Stop/Clear keypad to reset your control. You may need to reset your clock.
Is the display showing E0-F5?
The Self-Cleaning latch may be interfering with the oven door causing the Self-Cleaning cycle not to work. If the oven door is open and will not lock, press Stop/Clear to clear the display, press and hold the door switch plunger (located in the upper-right corner of the oven front), and the door latch will unlock. If the oven door is closed and locked, press Stop/Clear to clear the display; apply pressure to the upper-right corner of the oven door, and the door will unlock.
Is the display showing E"#"-F"#," for example, E1-F2?
You will need to schedule service.
