Try plugging 3rd party speaker available in market, Speakers like logitech or labtech, but put the speaker input in Computer's Green Color Sound Jack

Why has my windows vista home premium system suddenly stopped the sound coming through when I want to play music from napster site through my pc? I have the pc connected to 2 speakerS.

this could be an issue with driver or service failure in the computer..

try restarting the computer in safe mode .. and see if the internal speakers work.. try running a driver update through device manger.. check the cables of course.

if that does not help .. then call 1-877-805-1027 for expert help

How to install sound driver

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
you might have to uninstall then restart your computer then reinstall both the sound drivers and the sound card make sure you have both of these devices backed up to a disc before uninstalling
a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver to do this
right click to install driver also
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select appropriate speakers also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer
dont forget to vote
hope this helps

Speaker has no sound, but it is powered on.

The first Question is Can you use head phones to listen to any sounds from your computer. If yes then check the conection to the computer and the speakers, if no then check to make sure you have the proper drivers installed on your computer. Also make sure that the sound is not muted on the computer itself and make sure the sound is up Other things you can try depending on the manufacture is going to there site and allowing them to scan the computer.

Also if you think there is no problems with the computer itself. Find another device that has a audio jack, and plug the speakers into them as well to check to see if the speakers even work.

I downgraded to windows XP 2002, now I can,t use

Hello there!

That could be only problem with your sound device drivers. Do your speakers work?
If they arent also working then I'm probably right, try and reinstall your sound drivers on your new machine again, if thats not working, try to download them from internet, and you should have your problem fixed.

And one more thing, if we are thinking about the same microphone (the one integrated to your laptop computer) then you should be fixing your problem with steps i told you. Good luck!

Cannot get sound from built in speakers in Windows Vista : what to do?

Hi there,

Please try to install the driver of your sound card. Just ensure that your driver installer is supports vista. If not you really need to get one compatible vista, if you know the model of your sound card, just search in the internet for free drivers.

Speakers not working

It may be cause of some problems, at first you should find that what's the source of this problem,so I suggest you some ways:
1. Plug in other speakers to your pc, if it works so the source of problem comes from your speakers and you should fix it, and if it doesn't work, too, it means that your PC and your Sound Card has a problem.
2. If source of problem comes from your PC, be sure that you installed your sound card driver.
3. After you installing sound driver, maybe the problem will terminate! if not, I suggest you reinstall your OS.
Note: You could find your sound card driver by a simple search through Google or Yahoo and find your driver.
Good luck
