SOURCE: Black ink cartridge

WOW maybe you shouldn't give people advice if you have no idea what you are talking about. The print heads on Dell printers are built into the cartridge themselves. How would that damage the printer? I have been using remanufactured cartridges for my dell the whole time I have owned it. It works the same way and no problems. Just make sure you are getting your items from a reputable dealer.

Reciept side ink not printing

Need a new ink cartridge. Just like any printer they do not last forever before it needs changing and faded ink is classic sign that is the case. Skipped spots but good darkness would indicate some thing is dirty instead but that is not your situation.

Every page that prints has, what looks like, excess ink along the top edge. How do I fix this?

open the right side door and look at the drum unit, if there is a worn spot on the green surface, it will need a new drum, this is normally caused by the developing unit attached to the drum also being worn.

Print badly, skip lines and blurry quality at some place

There is in built up on the bottom of the head. There is several spots along the print heads path that build up ink. Clean the path as much as possible. The is also a cleaning blade ( acts as a windshield wiper) near where the head parks. Make sure its clean. If this doesnt solve, you will need to see a professional.

When i print, the black colored lettres and lines show faded although i put a new drum. The colorprints are still good.

This problem arises if the printer is not used for along period/ might occur when the ink is change. Compare it to the case when a fountain pen is refilled. it takes a few time to get perfect flow.
This might be also due to the clogging of black ink inside.

Try the following operations from the printer properties dialog box:
Cleaning/ deep cleaning
Nozzle check

Hope this helped

Faded print on one side of page

I have a SCX-4100 Samsung, replaced the tonger cartridge, it was working fine for a few hundred sheets of printing, but after that, the left side of the page was printed very light, faded.
If I run the "Clean Drum", it will print a litter better, but still faded.
What can I do to correct this problem?
Thank you

Black ink looks faded!

Providing that the ink cartridges were new and supplied with the printer, the cartridge is defective. I also don't think that you used up all the ink either unless you printed hundreds of documents already. Take the cartridge back to the store where you got the printer from and they should give you a new one.
