Question about Sewing Machines
I recently was given a Janome memory craft 5500 and I have no clue how to thread the thing. Can some one point to a tutorial online or just tell me how.
When you open the side hinge on the machine there is threading diagram

I have a New Home Memory Craft it is easy tho thread IF YOU REALIZE THAT THE THREAD MUST BE TAUNT AS IT GOES THROUGH THE TENSION GUIDE. Note that the method to thread the machine is pictured on the top. Follow it exactly and hold the thread firmly (no slack) as it goes through the tension and it is a snap.
I love this machine but mine was recently dropped by me son and they tell me it cannot be fixed. It is a high quality machine. Enoy!

You don't have much info here to go on. I take it that it embroiders fine otherwise, ie on the built in designs. Is it a Janome card? Does it do it on a particular card / design? Have you changed the bobbin thread that you use? Check the top tension - even though it is 'automatic', it does require adjustment at times. Have you changed / using stabiliser that you use? Is the bobbin correctly threaded?
Check these things
