Cant see the music!!!

Ok my sandisk sansa m240 mp3 player is old. i think i got it a couple years ago. but after only a little less than a year it started acting up. first the screen went bad, didnt care that much, cause i memorized it basically. but then a lil while later i noticed that i couldnt see the music on my computer when i hooked it up to the computer. my computer recognized it but it didnt show any music and said that i only had a couple MB left of free space when it diddnt show anything on there. i could listen to the music on the mp3 player but i cant change the songs or anything. ive tried anything and i just cant figure it out!!! it plays great, but i dont like the music thats on there anymore!!
please help me!!

All my music is on the player, but only a handful shows up on the computer when it is connected. Very frustrating!

Check to see which mode your mp3 is in. Depending on the mode when you put the music in, you can't see the music if it is in the other mode. For example, playlist only shows up in the AutoDetect or MTS mode. If you're in USB mode, then you see only weird files, and no music files but it says that you've have such and such MB left. To check, go to setting, down to USB and try either of the two to see if your musics is in one or the other mode. If not, sorry, can't help.

If its less than 1 year old, have it replaced. Otherwise, you may want to find someone electronically inclined to replace the internal led light. Best of Luck.
