I have an overhead projector, but could not find a catagory for it so I chose office equipment.

  • ans7b Sep 30, 2009

Your last comment, were you speaking about the overhead projector (which I have) or the copier with a scanner which you first mentioned?

  • ans7b Oct 01, 2009

Thanks. I won't be able to tell you if it works until tomorrow. I have to go home to read fixya comments. Our firewall blocks it. I don't know if the switch was facing the column or not. I did replace the bulb with the cord plugged in. Then I tried unplugging it and removing the bulb, then replacing it with the cord not plugged in.

Either ballast is bad or power to ballast is not getting there due to faulty capacitor. You can get a voltmeter and test power from power supply and also the power from ballast to light bulb. check to see if fuse is good.

What brand of copier is this? You may need a service adjustment or repair. If I knew what kind of copier it is I could look it up and decide possibilities.

Yes, your posting didn't say anything about an over head projector. That is fine though, I also work on projectors too.

And the changer knob is in the correct position. The instructions said,
    1. Disconnect power cord
    2. Open the stage frame, and the main switch knob in the direction of the column.
    3. Replace defective lamp.
4 Close stage frame until it clicks.
Note: Make sure to insert lamp is firmly into to socket. Make sure not to touch any part of the mirror.

I'm sure you know these parts have to go back exactly. There is two electric safety component inside the projector. It is very possible that one of these electric devices failed when the bulb failed, or what caused the bulb to fail.

The troubleshooting section say's, that either the new bulb was bad , wasn't put back together right, or needs servicing. Let me know if this helps, and what I can do to help you more.

Is there any way we can go back over the steps, and see if we can get it back on?

Did you notice any differences with the bulb?

Did you unplug it before the procedure of replacing the bulb? I'm might have to shut the machine off and On to get power back too.

The question had been posted in copiers, therefore I guess you are talking about the Scanner Lamp in your copier.
If you replaced the scanner lamp, and copier is operating, lamp moves, but does not scan, then you have a fault that can concern the high voltage circuit powering the lamp or main control board.
If instead copier is not operative at all, and stays in standby with error mode. Then either the copy counter must be reset, the lamp is not well assembled, or there is a different fault.

    Hi,

There is a board, or a circuit integrated on main board, depending on the model. This board supplies high voltage to the lamp. When the board is faulty, the problem may be confused with faulty lamp.
The board must be tested by a technician. Mainly the test is done reading high voltage to the lamp, and DC voltage to the board input.

-Make sure the correct fuse.
And did you check the bulb? If yes the bulb are good.
-next check power at the bulb. Ask a helper to help you brake and
check any power there or not. If yes there is power. Then the problem is NOT Ground.

I have Hunter ceiling fan / light. I installed it. It worked fine for a little while, than one bulb blew out, then a second bulb blew out, now none work. Yes I repaced all the bulbs, still don't w

I would check with a voltmeter if you can safely to verify power at the light socket using an adapter to a plug in it. If you can not do that, with power off you may want to make sure that the socket contacts are good and clean. Sometimes they can become tarnished badly.

Fan works fine, lights don't. Could it be the remote?

Had this happen to me and it was a hunter fan. Similar problem. Fan worked, lights went out. Took light bulbs out, lowered the light fixture. Tested power coming from the ceiling to the quick connect pins for lights. The power was good. So the Problem's in the light kit. Turns out the government requires all new fans to have certain wattage to lights, set at 190. So 3 60w bulbs or 4 40w. Inside the light kit is a limitor hooked to the black power wire coming from the quick connect,It is smaller wire and mine was pink into limitor and white coming out. Not very big. This went bad so i called Hunter, sending new light kit, but I just wired straight black to black wire bypassed that limitor and lights work fine

Aveo radiator fan FUSE

You never replace a fuse that blows with a higher amp one . That's a good way to set your car on fire ,melting wiring etc.... The fan isn't blowing harder ,drawing to much current . lower resistance in the circuit .

Why is all this happening.????? Because you have electrical problems . Do voltage drop testing on the problem circuits , testing with a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter .

Where did you fine this fuse for The radiator fan is blowing to hard and is killing the fuse.So went from a 10 to a 15. My service info states it take's a 30 amp fuse . An it has two cooling fan relay , an a droping resistor . Unless your mixed up on your fan's , Heater blower motor fan ? From reading your post , i'd say you don't know anything about automotive repair . Suggest you take your vehicle to the dealer . We know your vehicle better then anyone else .

these TV's have lots of problems. Don't waste your money on repair. But towards new one or you will be constantly replacing parts.
But anyway sounds like a power supply or light eng problem. If all measurements are good then the chassis needs to be sent to Mitsu for repair (approximately 140 updates to it).

H ave a sony kdfe60a20, just replased bulb and fan for bulb, watched for about 2 hours then tv went dark. Now I have a blinking red light. blinks 4 times pause 4 times continuously until I unplug the tv....

Hi,
4 times red standby light indicates problem with exhaust fan that is not running for some reason.
Recheck fan that you replaced and make sure its connector is plugged properly and it running freely.
4 times red light blinking is fan error in this tv.
Thanks.

02 Pathfinder back lights just died

Some times when you get a short circuit. It will burn out a tail light bulb. With the bulb burnt out you don’ have a complete circuit. First, replace you tail light bulbs. If that doesn’t work. Check to see if you have a ground wire come off.
