I have a Gas Whirlpool dryer model GGQ9800PW3. The dryer stops before the cycle is complete. It can be restarted, but again it will work for a while then shut off. I changed the temp setting from med

Oh oh sorry to say this but sounds like the motor windings are going bad? does it shut off then about 30 to 60 minutes later u can start agin? a bad cycling thermostat or thermistor could be culprit but I doubt that in ur case.

Dryer stops, restarts minutes later

It seems like clogged vent problem but as I always say The best method is to do your home work and you must do total trouble shooting procedure and replace defective parts if necessary and
Best way is visual check and check for any faulty component and parts and check all thermostats and sensors and look for clogged vent or any damaged or rusty or cracked components and use step by step deduction method for trouble shooting

Ge dbxr463gd1ww stops before cycle ends

Sounds like a safety or limit switch cutting it out, if you wait 2 minutes and it restarts then repeats.

Whirlpool LER4634EQO Runs for about 2 minuts and shuts off.

It is possible your Cycling Themostat is not working properly. It determines at what temperature to turn heat on and off to maintain a consistent dryer temp. The High Limit Thermostat would turn off the heat but your dryer would still run. That leaves the Thermal Cut Off which is turning off your dryer. It might be faulty and turning off at too low a temp, or it might be doing it's job. In that case something else is wrong. If you can check the exhaust air temperature at the dryer, it should be under 175 degrees. If you are absolutely sure the vent is clear, then replace the Dryer Cycling Thermostat.

GE Dryer model DDE5700GCLAD

Your dryer is exhibiting symptoms of a restricted/plugged exhaust vent. Remove the vent tube from the rear of the dryer and inspect it for restrictions all the way to the outside vent hood,(including the vent hood), i.e., lint build up/water retention, pinched-off, too long, animal nest, etc. Also make sure your lint filter is being cleaned after each load.
A blower malfunction could also cause your symptom. Do not overload the dryer as this also can restrict air flow.
Most dryers can only be vented 10 to15 ft. and should be cleaned twice a year.
Always utilize the shortest distance/shortest vent concept.

Hi, It sounds like the coils on top the gas valve are bad. If the ignitor glows but shuts off before a flame, the coils need changed.
I hope this helps. If I can assist you further, please let me know.
