Mains supply , drain tube and water inlet or inlets as per specification

One should be a wall plug , one should be a tube into a standpipe or drain and the other one or two should be removed by unscrewing the plastic nuts holding them to the rear of the machine

Make sure you turn the water off at the wall then switch the machine on as if to do a load , this will de-pressurise the hose/s

If the dishwasher is connected to a disposal, there is a knock-out on
the disposal inside the stub on, a screwdriver will remove it. Catch it
so it will not go in the disposal.

Kenmore elite dishwasher wont work

Remove the console panel with T15. then remove the cover from the main control board. top right of center of the main control you will see a removable fuse, either a black disc with a black and a black/w white strip connected. remove one wire from the thermal fuse and check for continuity. if it is open replace it. if it is not open call for service.

Kenmore dishwasher elite door opens too fast, broken spring?

Could be that, the spring may have unhooked or it could be a defective damper connected to the door. Remove the side panels and check the operation of the door mechanism. (This will probably require the removal of the rear panel to gain access to the necessary fastners).

Kenmore 17245 won't drain.

Try blowing into the drain line with a wet/dry vac. This sometimes removes clogs. Otherwise, hold the hose above the unit and fill it with water. If there is no clog the water should appear at the bottom of the dishwasher after a few quarts.

Stopped working altogether

Check the door switch, it may have gone bad or maybe isnt connecting with the catch, making it look dead. They wont do anything when the door is open, as you know. Also remove the lower panels to get to the inside of the dishwasher. Check for power where the cord is plugged into the machine. If you have power, unplug it and look at the terminals to the heaater element. They are on the right side, facing down out of the dishwasher tub. Just look inside the dishwasher to see where the heater goes through, then look in the same place underneath, Check the condition of these connections. The timer gets power through the heater element (strange but true) so if the heater is bad or these connections have heated and melted, it will cause a dead dishwasher. if tis just the connectio, pu t a new terminal on it and you should be good to go. Hope this helps
