Bvm200vs Won't run appears to be a fuel

Bvm200vs Won't run appears to be a fuel problem. Kit has been installed in the carb gaskets and diaphram may be in the wrong position. Is there an exploded view available somewhere?

SOURCE: Poulan leaf blower bv1850 Runs greate for about

Most likely low compression caused by stuck piston rings or a scored piston and cylinder. This unit was made by Poulan and they have had an epidemic of this problem. The solution is to tear the unit down and put in new piston rings. Before you install the new rings you need to get a sheet of glass and some 600 grit wet dry sand paper. Sand each ring down about .002 to .003 and reinstall. This should solve your problem as long as you have good fire and the piston and cylinder is not scored.

SOURCE: Leaf blower model # 358.794963 will not start.

Sounds like you have tried the most common things. And yes, a carb at that price would be much more effective than spending any more time on the old one.
*double check this list first however, and if all is well, continue with the carb.
Basics to check:
1) Spark plug - brown or dark brown - OK
a) is it carbon or fuel fouled
b) is there spark

2) Muffler remove for inspection
a) exhaust screen clean or plugged
b) inspect cylinder wall/piston as the flywheel is slowly rotated
3) Check cylinder compression

I have a p28 pioneer, hasnot been used in a few years. I put a new carburator kit in it, now it's over fueling. Gas is coming out of exaust. won't start. It does fire though.

You need to do a pressure test on the carb, this will tell you if the inlet needle is leaking, it is also important that the metering lever onto the needle is not set too high, on the metering side of the carb the gasket goes against the carb body first to act as a spacer to the metering diaphram.

I rebuilt the zama carb but it will not run for more than 30 or 40 seconds what did i do wrong

There are plenty of things you may have inadvertently done wrong, start first by checking fuel to the carb, replace the fuel filter in the tank, check the fuek hose up to the carb for signs of leaks, if all ok, re check the carb, on the pump side it is very importent the diaphram goes against the carb body followed by the gasket and the cover, this is because there will be two small flaps on the diaphram that act as non return valves, so must be against the carb body, there will also be a filter under the diaphram, this should be replaced, on the metering side of the carb it is very importent that the gasket goes against the carb body followed by the diaphram and cover, this is because the gasket is used as a spacer if not there the diaphram will be too close to the metering lever and it will flood, under the diaphram will be the metering lever, needle and spring, make sure this all moves smoothly, the metering lever should be level with the sides of the carb body, there will also be core plugs pressed into the base of the carb, these will be covering the jet holes, dirt can accumalate under these, however you need to pearce the plugs to remove them, and replace with new.

your carb kit would be a k20-wat

be sure to get everything in the correct order

ie fuel pump is the side with 1 large screw ,fit the fuel inlet screen fit the diaphram 1st then the gasket and cover

the other side is the metering diaphram , make sure the metering lever is set flush with chamber floor and then fit gasket , then diaphram then the cover

make sure the hi and low needles are back where they came from and set lo and hi to a base setting of 1- 1/4 turns out from lightly seated

check out the web site it will help

My rancher was running then quit. Spark is good but plug is dry. I ripped off the carb and cleaned it but it will only run when i dump fuel in it.

Hello, I will try to give you a few ideas and hope one works. Fuel is not getting into the combustion chamber at all from what you are explaining. Is the fuel filter ok? Did you put a new kit in it specially the diaphrams? From what you describe, obviously gas is not getting to the carb. and therefore into the engine. If the bolts are all tightened properly, the gaskets or anything else is not leaking air. There is a small screen type filter in the carb that if plugged could cause that problem. The hole it is in is about 1/4 inch across maybe a little more. remove it with a needle and clean it or replace it with a new one. Actually if you installed the old carb kit back in, I suggest installing a new one. I would check the inlet needle to make sure it is not sticking, also the lever and make sure the small spring under the lever is not missing. The metering diaphram should not be stiff or have any pinholes in it. All the gaskets on the carb should not be leaking, and make sure the pulse port on the carb and the one on the intake manifold should not be blocked also the gasket between the carb and intake manifold should be plugged. That is about all the suggestions I can provide. I hope one of them might be helpful. All the best and good luck.

Runs on starting fluid, not fuel. cleaned carb with carb cleaner(aerosol) ,still won't run. Primer (purge) bulb doesn't work properly. Spark plug dry, fuel lines clean. Diaphram problem or something...

Try spraying a little gas where you spray starter fluid. If it runs you may have to install diaphram kit. If it has a choke can get around primer not working.

Redmax blower older model does not start, tried a few drops of gas in spark plug port and it started. but stalls after fuel in burned off, any help would be appreciated, djk913

Carb. problems sounds mostly like the carb needs to be thoroughly cleaned out, drop fuel bowl and hit openings with a tiny steel wire and carb cleaner also check the diaphram, sounds like its cracked/dried up.

(mightylite 26cc curved shaft] gas not going into primer bulb was working great, when you push down bulb you can see it bubble in tank emptied tank it is clean no tear in bulb no holes in lines they appear...

Check the length of you fuel lines, make sure theyre long enough, check filter inside tank to make sure its clean,if all that checks out you probably need to rebuild the carb. Get the proper rebuild kit you need for the carb and replace the gaskets and diaphrams needle and seat valve ect. I use chemtool carb cleaner, works great. Before rebuild take carb apart needle and seat valve out spray cleaner thoughroly through all holes and blow out with air gun, then install new kit. This should set you back no more than $5.00

Carburetor problem wont run do i fix

Drain your carb bolws and see what you have, If it comes out with white paticles you will need to pull the carbs and clear the jets of trash.. Kit not needed unless you damage a gasket or o ring.

Auger stalls won't keep running

The diaphram is 2 piece's (1 is gasket the other is the dia.) my suggestion would be to bring it to a repair shop and have the carb rebuilt so that everything can be properly set. Besides the jets needing to be set, the needle may need to be reset also. If the dia. was alittle stiff than its going to need a new kit in it. 2 cycle carbs are alittle more finiky than 4 cycle carbs.
