A video I made years ago off my mobile phone and downloaded to my desktop played great, but now has lost the audio portion of it

It might be that computer has lost the audio codec it needs to play the video. Without know the type of file your video is I can't say anything more. But you can right click on the file itself and look at the file's properties. That might tell you what the audio codec is. You should be able to download the codec once you know what it is.

Onboard sound lost after video card installation

If your PC had an onboard video card before this, you may want to go in and make sure you have disabled it in the BIOS. This has happened to me before.

Use another movie maker , the format of your movies isn't fully recognized. Or you can convert those movies to an accepted one before importing them.

The video its wrong

If you cannot change the video settings ie. the screen resolution and the number of colors, then most likely problem is the video driver was not installed or the wrong video driver was installed.
If you have lost the driver CD for the video card then :-
Have a look at the video card, you need its make and model to download the XP or Vista video driver from the video card manufacturer's WEB site, and then install this video driver.

No video from motehr board, no beep on power up?

No video and no beep on power up. Your video card is failure and internal speaker is lost, so You can't hear beep sound. or may be motherboard problem. You insert a external Video Card in PCI slot, if video is ok, so your video chip is damaged.

Ga-7zm motherboard. I have no video from beeps I was getting 8 beeps....that was memory problem

Many times during repairs or installation of a main program, the feed to the MB gets disconnected and you lose your video and some times audio. Please install the video driver again. You may have lost both video and audio and for this you don't hear beeps. In this case you will need to install both video and audio. Make sure that your drivers are not "zipped". That is what I do to my computers, also. CONSTANTIN (arzconst)
