How can i fix my computer with this error... SymCUW has stopped working

Hi,

Good day. Symcuw.exe is a SymCUW from Symantec Corporation belonging to Symantec Shared Component. These means you have a symantec antivirus or software installed in your system. You can easily remove it by using Malwarebytes - Anti malware. You can get it on this link:

http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/

> You just need to click the download the latest version on the right side
> Then install it on your pc
> Allow it to update first
> Then scan your pc

Hope this information will resolve your issue. Have a great day and thanks for choosing fixya.

I always get 2 error messages when I open my MS Word program: 1. Please wait while Windows configures Norton Antivirus 2005. The other one is: 2. Norton Antivirus 2005 does not support the Repair feature,...

Try uninstall norton antivirus and load avira antivirus, run word program and check whether an error will come out. If no error, your antivirus might be corrupted and somehow affects your application. If error still occurs after replacing norton, uninstall office program and reinstall again.

Voip tunnel configuration was not received on address

Establishing a VoIP tunnel requires that you have either an accessible IP on the remote host with which to do IP-IP calls or that you have a VoIP server with which to route the calls between IP digital and analog lines.

Usually this error indicates that in the configuration somewhere you have entered a destination IP that does not recognize either of these as being available. So the first thing I would check is your Firewall settings, then your network connectivity, and then troubleshoot your IP destination.

See if you can ping your VoIP destination from a command line and if connectivity seems good, make sure that everything needed to initiate the connection is running on both ends.

To run the Microsoft Windows Installer if Norton AntiVirus was installed from the CD
  1. Insert the Norton AntiVirus CD into the CD-ROM drive.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • If the installation program appears, then click Browse the CD
    • If the installation program does not appear, then double-click the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop, and then double-click the CD-ROM drive icon.
  3. Double-click the MSI folder.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • In Windows 98/Me, double-click the WIN9x folder.
    • In Windows 2000/XP, double-click the WINNT folder.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • In Windows 98/Me, double-click the Instmsi.exe file.
    • In Windows 2000/XP, double-click Instmsiw.exe if you have Windows 2000/XP.
  6. In the next dialog box, click Yes.
  7. After the rollback has finished, then reinstall Norton AntiVirus.
Follow the instruction in Reinstalling your Symantec program after a failed installation or after you see error messages to start the computer without any programs running on startup and then reinstall your Norton program.

If these steps do not fix the problem, then go on to the next section.

To run the Microsoft Windows Installer if Norton AntiVirus was installed from a downloaded version
  1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start > Find (or Search) > Files or Folders.
  2. Ensure that "Look in" is set to the drive where you downloaded Norton AntiVirus, and that "Include subfolders" is checked.
  3. In the "Named" or "Search for..." box, do one of the following:
    • In Windows 98/Me, type the following:

      instmsi.exe
    • In Windows 2000/XP, type the following:

      instmsiw.exe
  4. Click Find Now or Search Now.
You might see many files with this name. Look for the file with this name that is located in either the Symantec_Norton_AntiVirus_2003 or the your Windows temporary file location depending on your version of Norton AntiVirus.
  5. In the Search Results window, do one of the following, depending on your version of Windows:
    • In Windows 98/Me, double-click Instmsi.exe.
    • In Windows 2000/XP, double-click Instmsiw.exe.
  6. In the next dialog box, click Yes.
This will undo the changes that were made to your system during the first failed installation.
  7. After the process finishes, then reinstall Norton AntiVirus.
Follow the instruction in Reinstalling your Symantec program after a failed installation or after you see error messages to start the computer without any programs running on startup and then reinstall your Norton program.

Help please

This is simply a bad download. You will need to start by completely removing the failed install, otherwise you're going to run into it all over again. Now, did you save the down load or just run it straight from the net? If it was a straight run, you may have encountered a slight internet glitch during the run. What you want to do is save the download to the desktop, then right click on it and run as administrator. It should install properly this way. Another thing is make sure that you don't have any other Antivirus, spyware, or adware programs on the machine. If you do, you will need to remove them, AVG covers them all. The reason you want to remove them is because they perceives the AVG as a threat, especially other Antivirus programs, not a harmful threat, but a competitor threat, and will stop the download or install. Antivirus companies, especially Norton, doesn't like to lose their customers, so they throw in these little blocking programs, in hopes that it will detour you from going to another.
