How to fix a broken glove box on 2011 Toyota Venza ?

Fixing a broken glove box on a 2011 Toyota Venza may vary depending on the specific issue with the glove box. However, here are some general steps you can try:
  1. Determine the issue: Inspect the glove box to identify the problem. Common issues with glove boxes include broken hinges, latches, or handles. Once you have identified the issue, you can proceed with the appropriate repair.
  2. Replace the hinges: If the hinges are the problem, you can replace them by removing the old hinges with a screwdriver and installing the new ones.
  3. Fix the latch: If the latch is broken, you may need to replace it. Remove the old latch using a screwdriver and install the new one.
  4. Replace the handle: If the handle is broken, you can remove the old handle and install a new one. This usually requires removing the trim panel to access the handle mechanism.
  5. Check for loose screws: If none of the above steps work, check for any loose screws that may be causing the problem. Tighten any loose screws to see if that fixes the issue.
  6. Seek professional help: If none of these steps work, it may be best to seek the help of a professional mechanic to diagnose and repair the issue.
Remember to be gentle with the glove box during the repair process to avoid causing further damage.

How do I fix a broken shovel handle

Replace it, grind off the rivets and remove all the wood and replace with a new handle. Or you can make one from a Hickory limb or other hard wood, you will have to shape it by carving away excess wood.

My window on my bmw goes down a qauter ways and it gets stuck and dosent go down all the way how do you fix it

Window regulators in early e46s are notorious for failing. If this is the first time it has failed, you must not use your windows much. Many of them had all four of their window regulators replaced before they got out of their original 4-year warranty.
Replacing it is not difficult, but repairing the broken plastic piece by wrapping a couple of zip ties around it is much easier and quicker and very cheap. The driver door in my wife's '04 330 has had zip ties in it for a couple of years and works just fine.
You will need a Torx head screwdriver set to remove the inner door panel. You pry up the trim strip starting at the rear to expose screws, and there are more screws beneath the mirror switch and below the big door handle. Be sure to disconnect the battery several minutes before removing the air bag, and handle the air bag carefully. It can hurt you. DO NOT connect the battery and test the repair while the air bag is disconnected or you will need to pay someone to reset the airbag (SRS) warning light.

Replace tailgate handle 2002 avalanche

If it's similar to a Silverado, the tailgate handle consists of a bezel (plastic cover) and a Red and Green plastic clip that break very easily. Take the bezel off (just pull carefully from the tailgate, careful not to break the plastic clips) look for 2 rods, again 1 connects to a red clip, the other to a Green, replace the broken one, or a cheap/temporary fix is to use a plastic zip tie at the connection. Snap the bezel back in.

How do I fix a broken outer door handle on he drivers side?

Is there anything connecting the handle to the door latch assembly? Is the lock cylinder in the key hole and secured? It just sounds like the linkage may have slipped off the door handle

BOSS BR-8 RECORDING STUDIO

I have exactly the same problem. I will try to buy a used internal zip drive over web with the same especifications to try to fix my BR8. I have already carefully removed the broken zip drive from the BR8. It was not so easy, but is not too complicated. The next step will be find out a working 100MB zip drive. I founded some in ML(Mercado Livre) but it was in a very distant city from mine and the mail expenses are higher then the zip drive itself. Good Luck for us. http://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-89306161-_JM

Toyota ECHO REAR DOOR HANDLE problem

I have this same problem, and I removed the interior door fascia to examine the cause.
As mentioned, the moving, plastic part of the door handle has a recess that houses the return spring. Under stress (under too little stress, if you ask me), part of that plastic that surrounds the spring ruptures (tears), and the spring can no longer exert sufficient force to get the handle to retract flush against the car.
There is no way to fic that plastic part--you have to replace the entire handle. Searching for "Toyota Echo Door Handle" will find you a number of on-line sites that sell BLACK handles for under $7.00! The dealer wants something like $50-$70 for an OEM part, with the right color.
I have the service manual, and replacing these things is a *****! You have to use a TORX bit to remove the actual latch in the door, to get it out of the way.
There isn't actually any fixed linkage between the handle and the interior latch mechanism. When you pull the handle up enough, a plastic cam on the handle strikes a metal lever within the car door, forcing the latch to release the steel hoop. So once you can ACCESS the handle, swapping it out looks straightforward. The problem is, accessing it is a pain. Make sure you have a magnetic grabber handy for the hardware!
I have yet to find a cheap source for SILVER handles on the Internet (none of the Internet Junkyards have responded).
