I would recommend losing norton. Norton is one of the most widely used anti-virus's today. They are easily hacked around and dont really pick up everything on your system. I would tell you to go with AVG. It is a free-ware anti-virus and you can also upgrade for a price. I have never had a problem with the free one. When I was the co-owner for a computer IT company, I would suggest AVG to everyone because it works the best that I have seen. Here is the link if you would like to read up more on AVG:

Also if you are interested in switching I have come up with a step by step for you to remove norton from your system:

  1. Navigate to your "Control Panel" and click on the "Add or Remove Programs" icon.
  2. Scroll down to Norton Antivirus in the text list once the full list has populated.
  3. Highlight Norton Antivirus by clicking once on the text line. This should expand the listing and you will see a "Remove" button.
  4. Click on the "Remove" button and then on "OK" when the system asks if you are sure. Restart your computer, if prompted, after the process is complete.
  5. Navigate to your "Program Files" folder by clicking on "My Computer" and then the "C:" drive.
  6. Locate the Symantec folder. This may be under the main "Program Files" folder or under "Common Files." Right-click on the folder and select "Delete."
  7. Click the "Start" button on your desktop and select "Run" from the menu.
  8. Type "regedit" in the text box. Do not include the quotation marks.
  9. Create a backup of the registry files by clicking on "Files" and then "Export" from the text menu. Give the exported file a name that will identify it as a recent registry backup.
  10. Click on "Edit" from the text menu and then click on "Find."
  11. Type "Symantec" into the text box on the "Find" menu.
  12. Delete each instance of Symantec found in the registry by right-clicking on the line and choosing "Delete."
  13. Restart your computer. All traces of Norton Antivirus are now removed from your system.

Best to contact Symantec directly in your country and ask for sales support who can sort this out for you.
