Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Is it possible to change a fuse

I have power but no sound from the speakers of my Bose Home theater stereo. I checked all the connections. It's an older mode (5 speaker modules, 10 speakers). I recently tried to plug in the cables to my HD cable box and erroneously put the plugs in the wrong inputs. I think (I hope) I blew a fuse but cannot locate one. It dos say 1.0 a where the AC plug is located.

The 1.0 A is the amps .
bose are very secretif when it comes to the the Head deck .
if you are keen on opening the head deck and try to look for a fuse , go ahead but i would suggest to doe the following , place a set of hear phone in the jack output and turn the music on .
if it does work , you may have blowned the main speaker output .
if it does not work at all , you may have fuses may have gone but check inside the system as next to the speakers output you may have a fuse in line hidden .
Please make sure all power is diconnected prior to opening the device .
best of lack and let me know how you go

Hi, I have a Cinemate Bose Speaker Series II System and I would like to know if I could connect Stereo Jacks from the Bose Module to a Stereo Receiver without damaging the speakers or subwoofer, and if...

That would depend on the unnamed receiver.

Most receivers have standard analog stereo outputs labeled Tape Out or something similar. You can use them as sources for stereo analog material but their outputs are not variable or under any receiver sound controls so the Bose volume will need to be adjusted. If using a Tape Output, do not select the output for listening on the receiver. THAT would disconnect the other source you're listening to.

If your receiver has a Pre-Out for the desired channels, they ARE under internal sound controls so you could set and forget the Bose volume.

Hello, thats a first and he is completely wrong. The sound will arrive at the stereo at the same time it arrives at the cable box or the tv,depending on what source the stereo is hooked up to.Without going too in depth he is referring to center channel delay which is a feature in some home theaters created to induce a delay when its required, most notably when a projector is used.

Can i connect my bose 5.1 speaker system to my pc directly without using a separate stereo receiver? my pc has a 5.1 hifi with optical sound card and an 800w psu.

no it can not. the sound card in your computer has no power behind it, only a signal. the acoustimass needs power from an amp. you can connect your computer to a home theater reciever and get what you are trying to do, with a simple 3.5 to rca cable.

Outside bose speakers keep turning off after a few seconds

It sounds like the speakers are either peaking and shutting down or they are dodgy. Check the volume going into the speakers and turn it down see if that works, otherwise take the speakers back. It might be worth trying a different set of speakers as well

Blu-ray + bose 3-2-1 system connection?

Connect an HDMI cord from the bluray player to a free input on your HDTV. Then connect the standard WHITE/RED stereo cable from the bluray player into the AUX input in the back of your 3-2-1 system and voila!

You may need to check the configuration of your bluray player to make sure that is outputting stereo audio, for this please refer to the player's user manual. Other than that, you should be alright.

Am setting up a bose GSX 3-2-1 home theater

Need to know the TV connections. On newer TV's there RCA jack connection or ext speaker connections. Usually the external TV speaker connections hook to the woofer and the rest of the speakers are connected to the woofer. The woofer acts as the sound system for the rest of the speakers. With this method you need to mute the internal TV speakers by a swiich on the TV or internal TV setup menus and select ext speakers.

Connecting bose 321 system to lg hd flat screen, bose receiver plays fm am ok threw speakers.tv will not play threw bose speakers.bose dvd plays sound ,but no picture

You will need a Component Video Cable
Connect the Red Green and Blue Connections from the TV to the Bose.

if your audio is coming from the TV, also connect stereo audio from the TV's audio out to the "TV" input on the bose.

if you want to hook up other devices (VCR, BluRay, etc) the video will go directly to the TV and audio will go directly to the Bose
