Question about Sharp AL 1631 Copier
There are a couple of things to try . First try this to see if this resets the problem..
Performing a Fault Reset 14 will reset your WorkCentre and will help to clear error codes.
If this reset does not correct it, see if your your lamp carriage, under the glass is moving freely. You may have to remove the glass WITH THE POWER OFF, and see if it moves freely.
Listen and feel carefuly for the lamp making some contact with a sensor or bracket.
Other then that the other cause is the scan motor being plugged in backwards, I seriously doubt you have done that one.
Hope this helps, If not tell me and I will look into it a further, but either a reset 14 or the lamp catching on the home sensor bracket should resolve this.
