You probably deactivated the chip by connecting it cause some computer can use Controllers and a PS3 Controller can be used on a computer.

Might consider trying 2 activate it on ur ps3 if nawt but a new one.

Gigaware remote for ps3 cant connect

I can not locate a Remote For PS3 By Gigaware now if its a controller Follow these steps

Connect to PS3
1. Turn on your console and plug the receiver into the first port on the console. The RX indicator on the receiver flashes.
2. Slide POWER ON/OFF to ON to turn on the controller. The controller’s POWER indicator lights and the 4 port indicators flash.
3. The controller connects with the receiver automatically after about 3 seconds. If successful, the RX indicator on the receiver lights.
4. Press the PS button to assign a controller number. The corresponding port indicator lights.
Manual Search
If you are unable to automatically connect, try manual adjustment.
1. Repeat steps 1 and 2 under “Connect to PS3.”
2. Press CONNECT on the receiver. The RX indicator flashes.
6
3. Press and hold SELECT and L3 (left analog stick) on the controller simultaneously for at least 3 seconds. When the RX indicator stays lit, release SELECT and L3.

Keybrd quits working on laptop after ctl-alt_del to reach login

Repeating keys? This is a common problem for KVM switches if you go beyond the devices' capability. As you can see, GCS62 is a PS/2 KVM switch and it was designed to work only using a regular PS/2 keyboard.

This KVM switch does not support PS/2 to USB adapter. It might work but it's not guaranteed to work correctly. This does not work properly if you have a docking station for the laptop. It might work for couple of months then it would stop.

You smay isolate the problem by following the steps below:

1. Connect the keyboard directly to the computer to see if you will get the same problem.

2. Power cycle the KVM switch by disconnecting it from the computers and leave it unplugged for a minute or two.

3. Avoid using hybrid connection (PS/2 converted to USB) only for testing purposes.

4. If that work, then you know the answer is that this KVM only designed an work correctly with native PS/2 connection.

2 of 4 USB Ports Not Functioning

Most likely a motherboard problem, though you can try and re-do windows, best bet on getting it all to work is Turn off CPU, Unplug Power cable, And all usb devices, let it sit for about 20mins. Plug it all back in. Turn on the CPU! Though this might really get on your nerves having to do this multiple times, id get a new motherboard.

2 0f 4 ports do not work

It sounds as though the ports on the cable/dsl router as bad. There really isn't anything you can do. It just happens. The typical shelf life of those routers is about 3-4 years. You could go out and buy another one or if you just need more ports go out and buy a little 5 port switch and plug it into one of the working ports and your comptuers into the 5 port switch.

Multiplayer doesn't work

  • loading a different disc to see if the problem continues.
  • Try inserting the controller into either controller ports (1 and 2) to see if the problem continues.
  • Try a different controller and/or memory card to see if the problem continues.
  • In certain games, there are on-screen "controller options" where you can designate which character (or team) you want your controller to control. Make sure that these options have been verified within the game.
  • Make sure there are no obstructions in the controller or memory card ports (i.e., lint, debris, etc.).
  • Make sure the controller cables are in good condition, free of cuts, frays, or other visible damage.
  • Make sure the controller and the memory card is plugged into their respective ports completely.
  • Make sure the analog button in the middle of the controller is pressed. Toggle this button On/Off to see if either mode helps the controller function properly. This can also help troubleshoot the vibration function with the DUALSHOCK®2 analog controller.
  • Make sure all of the controllers and memory cards (or any other peripheral) you own are licensed[1] for use with PlayStation® products. (Licensed products have the official "PS" logo on the product.)

Sony Computer Entertainment America, Inc. (SCEA) manufactures the following first party peripherals[2]. There may be other third party peripherals that are licensed; please check with the third party manufacturer directly.

    - DUALSHOCK®2 analog controller: Model SCPH-10010
    - DUALSHOCK® analog controller: Model: SCPH-110
    - Memory Card (8MB) (for PlayStation®2): Model: SCPH-10020 or SCPH-10410

Samsung 940mw intermittent power...

I don't have a solution but would like to compare information as i just started looking into this problem myself. 1. I bought my Samsung 940mw in March, 2006 but didn't start having problems with it until around April, 2007 2. I'll be using it as my pc monitor when the screen goes black and the power light stays solid green. The monitor doesn't respond to the remote control. Nor can i manually turn it off via power button BUT i can restore it by a) turning power off at the UPS outlet it's plugged into b) removing the monitor cable from PC port c) restoring power and waiting for the Samsung diagnostic message about no monitor detected then d) plugging the cable back in. My monitor image reappears. 3. fyi I only use the analog monitor input. Samsung also released a new driver which hasn't made a difference. Within just last couple months the monitor will sometimes just go black a coupla seconds and come back on without any intervention

Ps/2 keyboard port not working

Slim, Other than saying well it was a good couple years for the board lets just verify: Have you tried a different keyboard? Check device manager and see if you uninstall the keyboard and then reinstall it. Or have you recently installed any new devices that may have taken the resources away from the keyboard plug? If not get a usb keyboard and make sure you info is backed up...just in case. Good Luck, Tim

Suddenly quit and won't start.

Could be a processor failure, but try changing the cmos battery first on the mobo and locate 'JBAT1' terminal on mobo and put jumper across pins 2-3 then back to pins 1-2 and try starting up again.
