Question about Pioneer AVIC-F700BT Car GPS Receiver

Avic F700bt/F7010BT keeps rebooting every 2 mins

Men im so tired of this sh*t. I looked every where on line and i cant find any thing how to fix this problem... So i went to the store that i bought at and they told me to re update the firmware to 2.0 . So I did (instructions: in pioneer website) But when i updated the firmware there was a copy error and the instalation process froze!!! It said on the website DO NOT TURN OFF AVIC WHILE ITS INSTALLING. but what the hell am i suppose to do? leave it on all night and risk killing my cars battery or just turn it off.. So waited for about 30 mins just staireing at the stupid red screen. I finaly turned the dam thing off. Then the worst thing happend. Instead of just having the rebooting problem now all my maps for my navi is gone!!!! no maps = no navi... WTF!!!! i am very disappointed at pioneer for making such a unreliable system that cost well over $800!!!!! If any one can HELP ME PLS?? IM STILL UNDER THE ONE YEAR WARRANTY CAN I STILL RETURN IT TO GET IT FIXED???

I really can't say theres mus sympathy for your situation. Pioneer instructed you not to turn off the unit, and you did anyways. Simple matter of you blatently ignored the manufacturers instructions. killing your cars battery was a risk you should have been willing to take. If you were not willing to take this risk, then you should have returned the unit to the retailier.

Disconnect from battery. Reconnect and put sd card back in THEN put vehicle key in so unit gets power (I'm assuming the unit is on ignition only). The unit will read the sd card and load the files. When it's finished double tap bottom left hand side of screen (exit). I had exactly the same issues but this fix sorted everything.....phew!!

Pioneer avic-f700bt wont power on at all.. the battery was changed . How do i reset it ?

it is possible that it was damaged during the battery replacement.
one thing you can still try is to hard-reset it. the reset button is left of the eject button. press it for 30 seconds. if that fails - contact the repair center

Avic-f700Bt doesn't play DVD's

The AVIC-F700BT was not designed to play DVD's. If you wanted that capability you should have purchased the AVIC-F900BT. You can play video on the AVIC-F700BT from your iPod or USB Drive or SD Card or even from one of the AV inputs (mini jack on front or RCA's on the rear of the unit).
