Question about Tascam DP01FX All-In-One Recording Package Microphone
Weird issue. When I enable an effect (for example, distortion), the sound I hear is the effected sound, I hit record, record the part (still hearing the effect). After the take I playback and it recorded the part WITHOUT the effect. Why? I turn on and off the effects, assign/unassign, etc. takes several tries and eventually it works. But I have no idea why it does this, nor do I have a solution. I have to test the track before I record a part or it'd be a waste of time. Anyone else have this issue? or a fix? Aside from that I love this machine. Had a 424 back in the day and this is almost as easy to use. And damn clean recordings.

You MIGHT try turning on the effect right after hitting record. It is possible that the record cancels the effects... I don't know if this is possible, but if it is, try it.
I can kind of see a technical reason they might do this.
