Hi there,
You must know someone you can borrow their disk and then just put your own serial in when asked, so long as its the same version i.e. vista basic.

Ok you are unable to download an Operating System from the Internet using the product key you have. I suggest either phoning the company you bought the laptop form or the manufacturer of yur laptop and asking them for a Recovery CD for your laptop model as one didn't come with it. Also have your product key of Windows Vista to hand.
