a digital camera sony cybershot is not recognized by Windows xp service pack 3, when I connect the camera through a USB cord (time ago it worked fine) What is happening now ? Is there a software problem (windows) or a camera issue ? Please advise Thanks Camera model is a DSC W 50

- I posted the problem. I have Windows XP Service pack 3 indeed..... So nikeananth you should be right, because the camera worked time ago (may be before software update). Since I'm not an expert, how should I proceed then (no allowed to change Windows) Should I go to Sony's website ? What should I do then ? Thanks in advance again PabloBest Solution

Camera should be ok. Most probably, it is the driver. have you changed or upgraded your OS? Reinstall the driver and software if you have the disk. OR download from Sony website and reinstall. Chances are the camera will work fine.
