I checked the voltage of the batteries with the batteries in the camera and the camera lid open while pushing on the batteries to assure contact with the circuit, the reading is 2.5 volts

If it is using AA batteries, make sure they are Alkaline or something like Energiser E2 or Panasonic Evolta, some cheap batteries wont work at all in digital camera's (not powerfull enough).
If that doesn't work and you have double checked the polarity, take it back o the store and ask a sales person to see if he can sort it out.

2.5 sounds a little low. check them out of circuit individually. should be more like 1.8 v each when new. 2 X 1.8 = 3.6V

Maybe you need to take it back, or take it to another electronic retailer if your traveling.

I have a 95 honda civic ex,wont start.ran fine yesterday,wont start this morning.battery is fully charged,new cap and rotor.would do u think might b my problem

if it wont turn over 1st check the ground s on the car and the battery 1st. your battery can be fully charged and the car will not start even over night this can happen. then look at the starter. Note: if you have over 109K on the car and the timing belt has never been replaced you will need to have this checked as well.

Date/Time resets every time i turn on camera.

Hi, yes, there is a small coin memory battery, usually something like a CR3032 lithium battery. Turn off the camera and insert a new 'coin' battery (correct side up). Close battery cover, turn on camera and go to menu and set time and date. It should remember the time and date for a year or two, provided you put a regular battery on the camera on a regular basis. Also note, some older Sony cameras allow you to set it so that it shows only the date for the 1st 5 seconds when you first turn on the camera that day, then shuts it off unless you want it to superimpose the time and date on the video. Good luck, and let me know if this solves your problem. John

The camera is new and won't turn on

If the battery has been properly charged and the camera will not turn on, I would bring it back to the dealer for warranty service. The camera should simply turn on if a good battery is installed.

My camera will not turn on even after charging it for a long time. The battery works in other cameras except mine so the battery is not the problem. Why will my camera not turn on?

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

My camera wont stay on it bleeps once then turns off

That sounds like your battery could be dead/not hold a charge. If you've charged your battery already and your camera still won't stay off and turns off right away, it's time to purchase a new battery for your Samsung TL105.

You can purchase replacement batteries quite cheap here:

Non functioning camera

Whoah, the same thing happened to my camera.
I'm going to get a new battery. I hope it works...other wise it is just a dead camera and you need to look into getting another one *gulp* how long have you had it??? Mine I bought in mid year 2006. And this is the 2nd time its gone dead. The 1st time, I just had to take the battery out and put it back in and it turned on immediately. But this 2nd time, I tried the same technique and NADA.
If it doesn't work then I'll end up buying a HP photosmart, Sony or Kodak (recommended).
