SOURCE: no yellow color no test printing

take the cartridge out and look at the area that the sensor checks, and see if you see a lot of ink. it will be clear tube and you should see the ink, if it looks full, then your nozzles that go to the printhead either have air in it or the printhead is clogged up.

try doing up to 5 cleanings, and do a test print, check the nozzle test print everytime, if you do not see an improvement, then most likely the printhead will need to get replaced.
thanks adi

SOURCE: My mfc-240c won't print red, even with a new cartdrige.

Try running a few cleanings on the color.

Press the ink button and select cleaning,, do about five cleanings. Print the ink quality test page (from the ink button as well) and see the quality if it improved.

If it still doesnt print its possible the ink is clogged and may need servicing to replace the printer head

Since installing new ink cartrige every time I turn on the printer it prints an alignment page

Hi:
This problem is usually caused by one of the colors in the installed cartrige not printing out on the alignment page. You need to have red, blue and yellow working to get a good alignment. Try removing the cartridge, and wiping the print head with a wet paper towel to try to start the ink flowing. You should see three bands of color ink oozing out the bottom. If not, the cartridge is bad and needs replaced again!

My pictures turn red

generally this is due to your ink cartrige not having enough of the cyan or yellow to produce accurate colors. that or the print heads need to be cleaned on the cartrige. you can clean them with a cotton swab and some rubbing alcohol.

if all else fails replace yoru color cartrige with a new one.

The problem seems from your new cyan cartridge.
It doesnt print cyan ink.
Try to clean print head and test print for each color

Hi I am Vortash check your settings in the printers utillities , there should be a setting to turn off colour production , the other alternative is to fool the printer , ?. If your head unit is the same as my Brother unit then it has seperate colour cartriges Magenta , Cyan , Yellow , and a seperate black .. simply make a small hole in the top of the Magenta/red cartrige and fill with water .. then cover the hole with a little tape or some type of sealant .. this will make the printer belive you have a fresh cartridge and continue printing .. you may even find that the red will be although weak will be present ?. hope this is of help regrads Vortash
