What I would do is connect your ipod to your computer. Open Itunes and open your ipod. You should be able to control the contect on your player. If so all you need to do is delete them from your player. Then you should go to your sync settings and chang it to only update music. That should work. Hope this helps!!

When I plug the Ipod touch 4th generation all that comes up is ITouch sign and plug to the computer. I can't get it to do nothing.

Seeing the IToucgh sign is a good sign. Your unit should function as programmed. To start using your ITouch, first download and install itunes on yor computer. A small manual should have been included in your unit when you bought it. Follow the instructions printed there.
Once you have downloaded and installed itunes on your computer, you can start loading music, movies, pictures, and applications in your ITouch.

How do i load movies into ipod

Hi, this is how I load movies from DVD onto my iPod Touch. Two programs are required, DVD Shrink and Handbrake. They are both available to download for Free. I use DVD Shink 3.2 and Handbrake 0.9.3 but other versions are also available. Just Google to find them.
DVD Shrink is used to extract just the movie from the contents (menus etc) of the DVD, and Handbrake is then used to convert the movie into an .mp4 or .mv4 file which can be played on your iPod Touch. Load the movie file into iTunes on your computer (File>Add File to Library) and copy it onto your iPod Touch.

I have bought a brand new ipod touch, installed itunes and my ipod will not load. Just has a picture of the usb line and the itunes signal. Tried reistalling and restarting computer. Help!

This picture means you need to sync the new ipod with your computer.  Meaning they got to get close and acquainted.
Restart your computer.  Open up itunes and wait for it to load.  Then take the USB sync cord and connect one end to the ipod and the other end to the USB port on your computer.  Click set up new ipod and type in a name you want to use.  Follow the on screen instructions and don't disconnect the ipod until your computer says its done and its safe to disconnect.

I just bought an ipod touch and the screen has the itunes logo on it and the ubs plug and when i plug it in the computer i couldnt put music on it or the screen wouldnt do anything and theres a lil lock...

You need to restore it through iTunes. Plug it in, and when it loads in iTunes, press restore. You will be able to load it with media afterwards. That should clear it up :)

Loading itunes

Hi there,
Simple fix:
  • I'm sure you've already done this part but just for safeties sake go to the Apple site and download the very latest iTunes http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
  • Next press and hold the standby button. It will ask slide to turn off, do this.
  • Now press and hold both the Power and Home buttons together for about 10 seconds until the Apple symbol appears.
  • Now connect it to your PC.
  • If iTunes doesn't startup automatically or isn't already open then open it up.
  • Select the touch in the sidebar of iTunes then click on the Summary tab at the top of the main page.
  • Click “Check for Update.” iTunes tells you if there’s a newer version of the iPod touch software available.
  • Click Update to install the latest version of the software. Or click Restore to restore. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the restore process.
For more info refer to pages 97, 104-5 & 111 of the user guide (also available from http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipodtouch) and the knowledge base article here

All the best

Hi,
First, you should use itunes for you iPod. I know that there are other programs that can let you load music on it, but you should use iTune, Really.

1. You should first download iTunes. It is free.

2. Next. Load your music into iTunes. Do all of this BEFORE you plug your iPod into the computer.

3. Connect your iPod to the computer. Use a fast USB port. These are usually located on the back of the computer.

4. Your iPod should appear in the iTune pane on the left side. You should be able to see a set of 'tabs' that you can click. The first one is about your iPod.

5. At this point, you can click on the music tab to tell the computer to load what to load into the iPod. Click 'sync' to load your music.

6. When the syncing is complete, you will see that notice above in iTunes. Click the arrow next to the iPod picture in the iTunes pane to discharge the iPod. The iPod picture will disappear. Make sure that you also safely release the iPod in the task bar at the bottom of the computer. You will need to click on a green icon that looks like a plug and select 'safely remove storage device'. Wait until the computer tells you it is safe to disconnect it. Then disconnect.

Hope that helps.

Can i or cant i

Yes. There is a way to get around it though.

Go into Itunes and dock you IPod. Cancel any sync programs. In the IPod controls of Itunes, select manually manage music. This will prevent your IPod from wiping out the music and or playlists. You can then delete music from your IPod or drag and drop songs into your IPod as well.

The licensing rules might have changed now so that purchased songs from Itunes can be added to another IPod as well. If you copy it in from another computer and it plays, then it worked. There was a time that wasn't the case. Purchased movies may or may not work as well.

After that itunes will come up... just follow the instructions... once all that is done... disconnect your ipod and start adding music to your itunes then connect your ipod touch again to load your music into your ipod.
