What browser do you use? For Internet Explorer (icon on your desktop looks like big, blue E), follow these steps:

Click on Tools, then on Internet Options
Under General tab, in the Home page section highlight everything using your mouse, then press Del key on your keyboard, or type another web address. For example, www.google.com

Ah, yes ... how annoying!

First, Exit iE
then:
[Start]
[Run]
REGEDIT

drill down to:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]

On the right window, select [RunOnceHasShown]

Change the one to a zero

Exit REGEDIT

Start iE

How do I remove MSN as my browser. MSN is giving me a lot of problems and I do not know much about computers. Please help

Dear Anonymous User
I think as a new computer user it appears you may be confused between your default Web page and your internet browser.
From your comment it appears you may be using and Windows Computer with InternetExplorer as your web browser and MSN has been set as your default web page.
In order to change your default web page Proceed as follows:
Open an instance of your InternetExplorer
Navigate to a Web page you would like to use as your default Web Page
On the right hand side of your browser you will see a symbol of a cog wheel which represent the Tool options of your browser.
Click on the Cog and select Internet Options from the drop down Menu that appears.
On the General tab you will see the address for your default home page.
Click the button Use Current and the the address of your new home page will be displayed in the box above.
Go to the bottom of the Internet Options Page and click the Apply button.
Close your browser.
Open your browser again and you will find your preferred home page is now your default Home Page

Dell v14 msn homepage stopped working and not sure why msn link broken

I guess you lost your Home Page link to MSN, right? If so, use your browser--probably MS Internet Explorer--to go to www.my.msn.com and sign in.

From the MS IE top menu bar, select Tools, then Internet Options. In the General tab you will see Home Page on top and your home page address should be in the Address line. Click Use Current.

Your home page should be restored.

Tried to download msn live know all i get id runonce window messing up everything how do i get rid of it

A JScript error on the page results in the blank blue screen, preventing the user completing the set-up procedure for the browser. Because it never completes it will be shown every time the browser starts. How to stop runonce.msn.com being displayed I found a number of pages on various forums with all manner of theories concerning this annoying problemette. The best and easiest solution I found involves creating a couple of registry keys so that Internet Explorer thinks the page task has been completed.
Directly editing the registry should only be undertaken by someone who is confident that they know what they are doing.
The Windows Registry Start the Windows Registry Editor, I will not explain how to do this as, if an explanation is needed, you should not tinker with the registry.
HKEY_LOCAL_USER Expand:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_USER
    • Software
      • Microsoft
        • Internet Explorer
          • Main
Add 2 new DWORD keys:
From the Edit menu, select New then DWORD Value
Name this RunOnceComplete and set the value to 1
Repeat the above to create a key named RunOnceHasShown and set this value to 1
Check that the Internet Explorer Home Page is correctly set to the home page of your choice and start IE7.
Hey Presto! No blue screen xx
