Question about Car Audio & Video
Hi, I have just replaced the Peugeot factory fitted Clarion cd player/radio in my 54reg 406 estate. The replacement radio is a Kenwood model: KDC-241SG. 3 of the plugs that were originaly plugged into the back of the Clarion had to be omitted from the Kenwood, namely the yellow, green & the blue plugs. The Kenwood was supplied with an adaptor connector which only has room for the 2 large Peugeot connector plugs, the opaque & the black. When the Peugeot factory fitted sat nav was used I was given voice directions, which muted the radio/cd player at the same time, now that I have fitted the Kenwood I have lost the voice directions completely, although the sat nav still works visualy. this radio was advertised as a replacement for the standard factory fitted radios that are fitted in the 406's. I replaced the radio/cd player because the original had a jammed cd player. any help you can give me to rectify the loss of the sat nav voice will be greatly apreciated. many thanks, Don Phillips.
If you have the factory fitted nav then this is an integrated system and you will need to get the clarion repaired. If you give me a call I can advise you how to arrange to have the unit repaired 0161 428 2020
