Incanto de Luxe always tells me there are no beans in container

8 out of 10 times when I want to make a coffe the machine tells me that there are no beans in the container after it started grinding for a few seconds. Even though the bean container is full this message comes up. Usually if I try to push the beans down with a wooden spoon I end up with a nice coffe but there is a lot of wasted beans if I don't do that. Thanks for all your help.

Re: Incanto de Luxe always tells me there are no beans in...

I do have the same problem.

I have removed and cleaned the grinder mechanism.

Being an electronic technician I did have a look and tried to find what method they use to detect that the new beans reservoir is empty and I did not see any kind of detector.

I suspect that they monitor the motor current to do this. If it is so would'n it be possible to desable this fonction since it is more then evident when the reservoir is empty or about to be?

Any body knows how they do monitor the status of the new beans reservoir?

Re: Incanto de Luxe always tells me there are no beans in...

We have had two different models of these Saeco supers and have had the same problem with both of them. The machines appear to be the same basic internal construction with added bells & whistles.
The issue seems to be with the design of the bean hopper; the beans don't move with gravity from on top of the grind adjustment piece, down to the grinder area.  I have found that if one lightly pushes the beans down at the back of the hopper, pushing down towards the front, that the beans will fill the air pocket which forms around the grinder inlet. It works better with the hand than with a spoon.  I'll also tap the side of the
hopper when the beans are grinding to help the beans shake loose
and drop down in the hopper.  Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like
this gets any better with cleaning, degrees of bean roast (oily-dry) or time; It's just something you have to get used to doing whenever you make coffee.

Try increasing your grinder size. Normally the machine come on 8, however depending on the coffee type and darkness it may differ. You can also try cleaning your grinder out.

These grinder instructions are similiar to your machine

Vac out the bean chamber, then remove the 2 or 3 screws and carefully lift the bean hopper off the machine, then continue cleaning the grinder, careful not to lose the gasket around the top of the grinder. When done reassemble and try to brew but do not add beans to hopper as yet. Until you are sure all the plastic pieces are out.

Fix Saeco Magic De Luxe Not Grinding problem

If you leave the machine for a while, the residual ground beans in the grinder stick and clog the grinder.
- thus "timing out" with the "No beans" light.

After taking apart the grinder and cleaning it out, it still didn't grind. -
Then we ran some ground beans through it a couple of times, and then put fresh whole beans on top of the preground, and it took.

Worked great after that.

Machine Is Stuck on "VENTILATE" Command

Sounds like you all have the same problem. Your flow meter has been obstructed with a small chip of coffee bean that got into your water tank receptacle when your tank was off. You need to remove the top or back depending on your machine and remove the flow meter. It twist apart. The intake is a small opening and that is creates the jet of water that spins the flow meter. If it gets obstructed the meter doesn't spin and you will get the ventilate message.

Help....we poured some water into the bean grinder/container

You have to take off the bean hopper, turn the ring on grinder anticlockwise to you see the claque. Take out the middle off the grinder and clean everything carefully.

After that you have to put it back again, when you have the middle off the grinder back you turn the ring clockwise to the end, after that you turn it anticlockwise 14 "tick".
