Bose SoundDock will no longer connect to ipod to either play music or charge iphone/ipod devices. Any ideas how to fix or is connector on base damaged and needing repair?

My guess is that the iPod connector in the Sounddock is loose or damaged. You can get a new connector and solder it on yourself (very difficult!) or you could get a replacement PCB at http://www.chargeconverter.com/store/index.php?route=product/category&path=37 which is quite easy to replace (see http://ridax.wordpress.com for description).

My bose sounddock II fell off table. appears that circuit board separated from Ipod connector. how do I reattach?

If the actual connector that goes into the ipod seperated, and it was attached directly to the board, you become very very good at soldering and solder it back on.

If you're not the surface mount soldering type, you'll have to either pay someone else to do it or buy a new sounddock.

Bose Sounddock won't play iPod touch

You probably have a broken docking connector or bad power supply. Contact www.invebo.com to get a replacement board. It takes minutes to fit. They also sell the USB charge upgrade to enable you dock to charge the IPHONE on the Soundock original.

You need to reset your ipod. You can go online to find out how to do this. I had to do it with mine and then it worked perfectly.

Does the new bose dock station charge the new ipod touch (32g)?

The new SoundDock II charges your new iPod touch and is fully compatible all iPods and the iPhone 3G. Also the SoundDock Portable will do this. But..
Better news-> Call Bose. They can upgrade the 30-pin connector to charge via USB-only and function with the remote as well. $99. This will make your iPod touch 100% compatible and somewhat future-proof your SoundDock. If the SoundDock was purchased within 90 days (at full retail price), they will do the upgrade for a smaller fee or even free I think.. (new 1 year warranty given with repair/mod) btw- This is an Apple issue, not a Bose issue. All 3rd party iPod connection devices had to make this change at some point.

Gen 3 nano and bose docking station

Have you tried another iPod on it?? I suspect that if you do, that one won't work either. If it's a Bose SoundDock then they are well known for having problems with the iPod connector getting loose. Try with another iPod. If results are the same, take your SoundDock back. Bose should exchange it straight away.
