Question about SanDisk 4GB microSD High Capacity Memory Card

1 Answer

SanDisk 4GB MicroSD HC Memory Card is not recognized by my Sansa

I just bought the SanDisk 4GB MicroSD HC Memory Card to use in my Sansa e260R player and the Sansa player does not recognize it. I put the memory crd in the adapter and my computer recognizes the memory card, but I cannot do anything with it. How do I add music to the memory card and how do I get the Sansa e260R player to recognize it?

Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card. The e250 works with microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

The Sansa e200-series uses microSD cards. Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card (the HC stands for High Capacity). While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and won't work. You need to go with microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

My sandisk wake ur phone up adapter 4gb isnt workin in the card slots on the tower

Please bear in mind, that 4GB cards will most likely be of the newer SD HC (Secure Digital - High Capacity) standard, which is not recognized by older devices that only support the basic SD specifications.
You have to try a 2GB card, or look for a non-HC 4GB card, but these are very hard to find.

Sansa c240 and a 4 GB Micro SD HC card.

Sansa C240 can only read SD cards that are NOT SDHC - that means it can only read up to a 2gb Micros SD card.

MicroSD card not responding.

Cards > 2g are MicroSDHC. Your phone may not support the HC cards. Please check with you cell provider and see if they have a firmware upgrade to read MicroSDHC cards. As for the computer, you just need to buy a cheap reader compatible with HC cards.

Sansa e260

The e260 works with microSD cards. Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card and won't work in the Sansa.
With a microSD card, simply put music tracks into a folder called "MUSIC". When the card is installed, the Sansa will see the additional tracks.
