Check the power adapter with a multi-meter, the voltage of the power plug that plugs into the power socket on the laptop should be slight higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on the adapter.
If it is faulty, there are replacement power supplies available on the Internet or at your friendly computer shop.
If the adapter is OK then the power socket on the laptop is faulty or this socket has a dry solder joint connection on the motherboard.
You can test this by wriggling the power plug when it is connected to the laptop, if the charge LED flickers and if you hold this plug in a certain position the charge LED stays on without flickering, then the power socket is faulty.
This can be repaired, but requires the laptop to be completely
disassembled. I suggest you get a quote first.

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LEDflashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faultyinverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Hi i need help plz, i've my laptop do not power when i plug the ac adapter ther' is no ligth

You may have a DC connector problem:

Symptoms of a broken power jack
1. If you wiggle the power cord or the AC Adapter connector on the back of the laptop, the power LED and battery charge LED start to flicker.
2. Battery will not charge in the laptop.
3. Laptop runs fine off a charged battery.
4. With the AC Adapter connected the laptop appears to be dead.
No power LED or battery charge LED activity.
5. Laptop randomly powers off without any warning.

If your laptop is out of warranty, then you can fix the problem by re-soldering DC-IN jack on the system board. If it

I have a DV9000 17" Notebook, power led blink three times

Okay the logistics here of this laptop that would be normal for the power light not to come on without battery in place REASON? Because this laptops primary source is battery secounary source AC power.

A Blinking light and no boot means a hardware failure. I would need to personally look at it to tell you 100 percent what is the cause but I would rather you take it to Best Buy and have them do a full eval on it for under $50 bucks if there is something really wroung they can follow up with a warranty claim.

Acer One 1542 series.Power on but not boot.

since you reseated the memory, the last two things I would do is remove the hard drive and dvd drive.

If you remove those and you can't get video then the motherboard is bad.

ensure that the electrical plug is intact, if you saw no led light lit at all on all indicator check the adaptor itself, if you have a tester you can try to test the end connector to see if there is a DC power line that is coming out.
if not either the adaptor is defective nor the reouter itself is burned out
