Question about Nikon COOLPIX L18 Digital Camera

1 Answer

When I upload pictures to my computer they always save as at least 2 MB, too large to upload to some sites to share, and I always have to individually re size each one to a more manageable size. Any solutions? Is there something I should set on my camera for this?

In the setup menu, you can set the "picture quality" to a lower setting. Just keep in mind, the lower the setting, the poorer the quality if you decide you want to print them.

I am unable to upload photos saved on my HP Pavilion dv6000 to my facebook album. Please help.

There can be a few things that may stop you doing that ..First be sure your pictures are in a common format(mpeg ;gif ) ..and are physically located on the laptop ...
Also make sure they are not too large in size...It is not specified on facebook ..but most sites do not upload large size files...so if they exceed 2 Mb ..I suggest to use a photo manager or editor ...more likely ..and reduce their size ...and try again ..
make sure you are logged in your account and pay attention on the recommendations they make when the upload is denied ..
Another thing that may be very important is the internet connection ...If you are connected using a wireless or wifi connection ...make sure it has enough speed to be possible to make this operation ..If you use a router to connect and have good upload speed..it no issue ...but if you use a mobile connection ...or a hot spot ...or anything that allows you just to navigate ...this can also be a problem ...basically if the upload speed is too slow ...the time for upload will stretch so much ...and the laptop will consider as a failure ..
Another thing ..make sure you are on a admin account ..when you log into your computer ..cause this can also make troubles in this case..If you are not logged with and administrator rights account ..it may refuse the operation ..
Try all I said ...and let me know what you've managed to do ..Good luck !

I need to send my picture to another country;I have my scanner how can i also send it through my computer ?

1. Scan the picture.
2. Save the scanned picture.
3. Upload it to a website like http://imageshack.us/ or http://photobucket.com/

Once you've uploaded the picture, you can share the link to your friend or to someone from another country.

I've got a problem in uploading my pictures that save in my computer documents to others website like facebook, hotmail and gmail.

This could possibly mean that your pictures are not all the right size (height and width), or, that the file sizes are too large (mb wise) for uploading to the given website according to their guidelines. Resizing the pic usually fixes this. Read the descriptions in the websites guideline for particular (preferred) sizes required to upload.

Hope this helps. :)

How to upload pictures?

This will depend where you will upload it. First of all, you may need to transfer your photos to your computer for easier uploading.

Then you can upload the pictures in social networking sites like Facebook, Friendster, Hi5, Linkedin, etc.

You can also upload your photos to photo uploading site to share it with your friends like Picassa, Photobucket, etc.

Picturestuff is refusing to work

Check and see if the school website had a memory size limit for their pictures. Your picture may be too large. Or it could be the wrong file format. Find out what those two things are (from your schools web site), open your picture on your computer, goto file, click on Save as...., and then save it to the setting the school requires (don't forget to use a different save name on your picture or else you will lose the orignal, and then upload the new picture.

Transfer folder(s) of pictures from my Kodak EasyShare program to 'My Pictures'on my computer. having problem with 'Burn cd/dvd' application on EasyShare software.

you're not trying to burn the pictures to your 'MyPictures' thing.

close that and go get the EasyShare disc, your EasyShare Kodak camera (i hope) and your transfer cord

Plug your transfer cable into the camera from the small end, and the large end into the USB port of your computer. This allows the computer to recognize the camera and begin building adapters for it.

Insert the disk for the Kodak Easy Share program into your disk drive. Go to your "Start" button and hit "Run." This will bring up a window allowing you to choose the letter of your disk drive to find the file to run. Your computer may have Autorun, so it is possible you do not have to follow this step. If you do not have Autorun, click on the letter of your drive and choose the "Easyshare.exe" file when it populates. Then hit "Run" on the bottom of the window to continue.

Click on "Next" on your Install Wizard when it begins. This sets up the program to be used if you do not already have it on your computer. Click "Next" on all following boxes, as this gives you the basic set up and files needed to run the program.

Wait for the program to begin. Once it has populated the window with a gray Kodak Easy Share block at the top of the window, you are ready to begin. Click on "Add Pictures" on the top left corner of the window. A new window will generate. Go down to the last half of the window on the left and click on the Kodak Easy Share file. This is where your pictures are being taken directly from your camera, which is the drive or USB port it is connected to.

Choose on the next box the folder you wish to save your pictures under. You can opt to leave it in the Easy Share folder, or to rename the folder for the type of pictures you are uploading. If you have wedding pictures, you could right click on the folder and hit "Rename." Then type in "Wedding Pictures" and click anywhere on the screen. This will save your folder name.

Delete the pictures from the camera after they upload is an option you can choose to click on if you want your camera erased when the pictures are done. If you want this, click the box next to the "Delete From Camera" option under the folder name area. When you are ready to upload, click "Done" in the bottom left corner of the window. Now you have uploaded your pictures to your computer and cleared your camera.
