Murrym19546 riding mower want move why?

I would believe the mower is ran off a belt and the belt has stretched to the point and needs replacement. Raise the mower up and look under it and see if the drive belt is sloppy or loose.

My mower runs but will not go foward or backward. What happened?

some riding lawn mowers have a lever on transmission to disengage drive system . i am not talking about the shifting lever . i am talking the transmission it self. then check tension on the drive belt

Pedal won't disengage drive

Check the return spring on pedal, may be worn out.

Depress drive pedal forward or reverse, tractor will not move

Assume it's a hydrostatic transmission - most probably the drive belt has come off or broken. Be sure to replace it with a Kevlar belt as changing the belt isn't easy and you don't want to have to repeat the process too soon.

Snapper rear engine rider won't go into reverse

there is a adjustment at the pedal there is littler rings move some to the side of the pedal you step on if that doesn't help close the knob on top of the fuel tank and stand the mower up on the rear bars(that's what there for) remove the battery if you are going to leave it up move the shifter and make sure that it is sliding all the way over and change the rubber disc that rides on the flat metal disc

Can anyone help? My Cub Cadet LT1045 won't move (foward/backward).

Hi, check that the drive belt, pulleys and shafts are all ok and that they are actually driving the transmission, hopefully you will see the problem. If the transmission is driving ok and the fwd and reverse lever is functioning as you said, the transmission may have failed. Also check the hydro release lever is functioning. Regards Phil.

Mower will not move foward or backwards belt ok and turning fan and pully.

then the hydrostatic transmission is shot, look around for a new one or a used one. good luck as a new transmission will cost as much as another mower.

The mower will not move foward or backwards when in gear and teh brake is released. I did check to make sure that the brake isn't locked. It seems like teh transmission is not engaged. It worked fine in...

Is there a lever or pull device that disengages the drive so you can push the mower? If you can push the mower with the brake off, the trans is not properly engaged.

Is this helpful?
