I dropped my s 7000 fujifilm camera in the water.

I opened everything I could up and dried it out. At first it worked, but now nothing. Is there a repair manual that I can purchase? Is there anyone who could repair it cheep?

Take the battery out and inspect the battery closley. If you see a pink rectangle on the contact face then the battery has to be replaced. You may be able to dry it fully by putting the camera and the battery(seperately) into a ziplock bag half full with uncooked rice. Leave them for a full 2 days and then remove them. Shake the cam and battery as to remove any small pieces of rice that may remain.

Water Damage Lens Error

Most cameras with retractable lenses are very sensitive to grit (sand, dirt, salt etc.) in the lens mechanics and will shut themselves off if everything is not perfect. It's possible some salty water remained in the works and left a salty residue when it dried out.
Unfortunately, most repair shops will charge you almost what the camera is worth to properly clean it and it is not a job for the do-it-yourselfer.

Salt water may have caused some components to short out.
It would not be worth repairing and it would not be a DIY repair.

I dropped camra in water any way to dry it out

I dropped my cell phone in water one time and somebody told me to put it in a bowl and completely cover it with dry rice and believe it or not that worked. Don't usually answer camera questions but thought I may try to help. Give it a shot and I hope it works for you.

I dropped my camera in water, the lense got moisture in it but was working right away. I had opened the inside of the camera to make sure nothing got wet. I set it out to dry. The lense is dry of moisture...

Get a new camera - you will have other problem besides the obvious ones. Liquid will produce corrosive material after it drys and remain in the camera and will be difficult to remove later.

Dropped my sanyo scp 7000 in water what is the best way to dry it out??

i think that first u should detach its easily detachable parts and then for instant dry ,dry it with heat blower, and put whole parts in sun light...if not works then take away to the technician for preventing major loss

Water damaged and it works but for some reason it keeps turning off, is there a way to fix water damage?

Hello my friend,if the board and chips are oxidized now there is nothing you can do anymore. You should immediately open your mobile unplug everything and try to dry everything with a hairdressers gun and leave the battery and the Sim card out for some hours when you drop it into the water.

Fujifilm digital camera finepix a 500

Check ou this link: http:// www.digitalcamera-hq.com/digital-cameras/fuji-finepix-z1_question.html?qid=4289

After the basics (cleaning the lens, replacing the batteries, etc.), try dropping the camera on a carpeted area from about 2-3 feet. It worked for my Fuji A500 and 90% of the responders on the link. Everything on the web said it would cost ~$100 to fix. I was in the process of researching new cameras to buy and had nothing to lose by dropping it on the floor.
The error may be caused by debris in the zoom mechanism preventing it from working. Dropping the camera loosens the debris and voila!

Water inside S3500 Fujifilm

Try taking it apart, and letting the pieces dry oput, or take it to a reputable camera shop, and see if the can replace one of the boards that might have short circuited, otherwise it looks like you need a new camera :( Sorry.
