Question about Kenmore 3.8 cu. ft. HE3 Front Load Washer

My Kenmore Elite (Whirlpool) HE3 dryer is no longer producing heat. I've check to make sure the vent hose and it is not clogged. Can you advise if there is a circuit breaker, fuse or replacement required for the heating element? Thank you.

U need to check the device responsible for generating heat - if electric it is the heating element(s) - if gas make sure the pilot is lit and there is gas going to the unit.

Check behind the dryer to make sure the tube running to the exit vent isn't clogged or blocked. Then go out side where the vent runs to and make sure it isn't clogged.

Have an HE3 Kenmore elite gas dryer. It is taking longer to dry the clothes than it did when it was new. Is there any maintenance I can do to improve the time?

If your dryer is STILL heating, but your clothes still won't dry, you may want to check the dryer interior cabinet and/or the entire run of the exhaust ducting from where it exits your dryer to the point where it leaves your home to ensure you have no kinks or clogs. The following link explains many of the common problems that can cause poor drying efficiency and longer dry times:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3578821-dryer_takes_too_long_to_dry

Before assuming you have a problem with the appliance, check your installation to ensure you are providing the dryer with proper exhaust and air flow. This is the NUMBER ONE cause of poor drying efficiency. A dryer in a clogged state or having improper air flow will not dry efficiently and will cause the heating circuits to overheat. Eventually, this can lead to component failures and is the source of many fire hazards. If you have any questions, please post back with a complete MODEL NUMBER and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

No heat-Kenmore (Whirlpool) Elite He5 Steam 110.8775

Check that there is 240 volt at the plug as sometimes a breaker will be weak on one side and only produce 120 volts which will let the drum spin but produce no heat

My Kenmore Elite (Whirlpool) HE3 elctric dryer is no

A dryer not heating usually means that either the heating element is burned/broken (open circuit); a thermal fuse in line with the heating element is blown or; a thermostat is faulty.

Dryer needs to be partially disassembled to diagnose with a multimeter.

My kenmore Elite Dryer model he3 starts but there is no heat, what is up with that and what can I do to fix it since my warranty is over.

Most dryers stop heating due to a clogged vent or duct. Check your duct hose inside the house for lint/water clogs. You will have to remove it to do this. Then check the outside vent for lint clogs and make sure that its opening properly (louvered vents). If thats not the case, call up Sears and use your warranty.

My Kenmore Elite HE3 Dryer is not drying. It does not seem to produce any heat. The dryer does start as usual, lint screen is clean. Help!

It may not be your heating element. Your dryer lint vent pipe out the back of the machine or maybe out the side may be plugged. You have to pull the machine out and clear that pipe or rebuild it out to a soffit vent or static vent if it is in the attic, or out through your crawl space. This will make a huge difference. If that hot air and moisture doesn't get out of the machine it just goes back into your clothes.
Good luck!!
