Go here they have a lot of different sizes, Get a measurement and match it up. What voltage is it? Watts? Look at the name plate on the unit.

Electric range heating elements don't work at all for "bake" function, but "broil" function works (top element) & stovetop works.

The bake (bottom) element has probably burnt out. It's very easy and inexpensive to change them.

First order a new one. Get the range model number and search Google for the element part number. You will get a number of appliance parts suppliers. Check a couple of them for prices and record the part number. (A few suppliers use private part numbers. Most use the manufacturer's part number which will be the one which appears most frequently.)

You could then order from the least expensive supplier, but don't do so. Now search Amazon and eBay for that part number. You will find the part for less than half the price. Order one.

When it arrives, do this:
  1. Unplug the range or make SURE it is turned off.
  2. Remove the old element. It will be held in place with a single Phillips head screw or a hex-head screw. Use the right sized screwdriver or nut driver or socket-wrench as appropriate. The screw will be tight after years of baking. After removing the screw, pull and wiggle the element until it comes unplugged.
  3. Push the new element into the socket and secure it with the screw.
Turn on the oven and let it heat for 5-10 minutes before baking to burn off the bad-smelling coating on the new element.

My kenmore oven model 316255311 want come on at all but the top of the stove works fine

I suspect the heating element might have burned out - does the broiler work? If "broil" works but "bake" doesn't, then replace the lower heating element.

Burnt out lower oven heating element

Elements are fairly easy the replace, what needed to be done to replace it is TURN OFF THE CIRCUIT BREAKER and look on the back wall of oven you will see a metal bracket either in the center or at left/right side of back wall remove the screws from those brackets and pull the element out remove the wires from it and install the new one in reverse order
To order the part look around the door and find the label with the FULL model number and look in the phone book and find a appliance parts retailer in your area

Trying to keep large # of hot dogs in buns warm. Do I put water in the roaster before adding the insert containing the hot dogs?

The Owner's Guide for the Rival 18qt Roaster Oven with Buffet Server is available here:

http://www.rivalproducts.com/manuals/MANUALS/RO180BR-C_43_18972586.PDF

See Page 6 for full instructions on use as a buffet server.

You would normally fill the removable roasting pan with 5 to 6 quarts of water ot 1/2 - 3.4 full. Place in the buffet server frame and the empty serving dishes and then preheat at 350 degrees until hot.

Place hot, cooked food in the serving dishes and reduce heat to 250 degree to keep food warm. Adjust the temperature and add more hot water as necessary.

I have a 18 quart roaster oven and need to know where I can buy the 3 tray buffet server

Hello. This roaster has been so popular, Rival can't keep them in stock. It does not appear that you can purchase the server separately. That said, here is a website where you will be able to order an entire oven and server for under 50$.

I want to buy the buffet server for the roaster. My roaster did not come with the buffet server.

Rival akes several 18 quart roasters and not all of them take the buffet server. You can check about yours and order direct on line at the Rival website:

Do you need to add water in the bottom pan to use a roaster as a buffet server?

Not just no but absolutely no. This is an oven, not a steam table, and water between the roaster and the roaster cook pan actually interferes with the heat transfer, as well as building dangerous steam.
