Control lock stuck

Good Morning Stephanie - To de-select the Control Lock, try pressing and holding the "Heat Dry" key or press down on the LOCK KEY icon for approximately 20-30 seconds. If the issue persists, try resetting the dishwasher by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn the unit back on. The dishwasher should resume to normal operations. Hope this information helps resolve this issue, however if I can be of further assistance, please feel free to reconnect.

Buttons on remote must be pressed hard to work>

There are a number of problems that could cause the issue you describe. A weak battery could be the culprit. If changing the battery does not resolve the issue then some type of substance may be on the contacts of the buttons. The keypad of your remote is a series of simple switches that when pressed function according to the programming of the remote. Spilling something on the remote and then having it dry up could leave a film on the switches that would make it difficult for the contacts to close. By pressing harder you are forcing enough of the switch to make contact that it will finally function. If the remote is in a room where people smoke this can also leave a film on the contacts and subsequently make it necessary for you to press the keys real hard to make them work. Finally, the keys themselves will wear out over time, and it will then become necessary for you to press them real hard before they will function properly.

If changing the battery/ies does not resolve the issue then your choice is either attempting to clean the remote, or replace it. Many remotes are difficult at best to take apart. The keys and switches are quite small and can be very difficult to try and clean without damaging them. If your remote uses the micro switches instead of the switch array it is impossible to open them up to try and clean them out. At this point you would be better off checking with your local electronic repair center to find out how much a replacement remote would cost. Depending on the age of the remote you might not be able to get a replacement. You would then either have to put up with pressing down hard, or look at possibly replacing it with one of the programmable remotes that are now available. Should you choose this route check with either the manufacturer's website, or your local store. to ensure that the universal remote will indeed properly control all aspects of the unit you want to control.

I used the "rinse only" cycle on the dishwasher a little while ago. I've never used this cycle before. After dinner I tried to start the dishwasher, but no other buttons on the panel respond except the...

Try un-plugging the dishwasher (check for cord under the sink) or turn off the breaker to it to re-set the control board. If this does not resolve your issue you may have a defective key panel.

My 92 honda accord ex as a rough idle at stop and if i put in it reverse the idle is alot rougher. it idle at 750rpm

Typically this a result of bad motor mounts, I had the same issue with my 92 honda accord, changing the side mounts and the strut up front resolved the issue. The Trans mount, behind the motor is the most difficult mount to change and requires you to unbolt the other mounts and roll the motor far enough forward to gain access to that mount, but once all 4 mounts are replaced your issue should be resolved

Computer will not authorize sony reader says it has no licence

It seems that the Reader is already authorized with a different account. However, you will get an option to deauthorize the Reader from the old account, while you try to authorize it with your account. In this way, you can deauthorize the Readert frm the old account and then authorize it with your account. Since this is the account related issue, it's bit difficult to resolve this issue through this Website. For this issue resolved, you require to contact a Sony Technician who can login to your Computer remotely or deauthorize your Reader from the other account through their internal database. You can contact them through the

We have owned and enjoyed our Harmony 880 for about 3-4 years. It has gradually become more and more difficult to use. It takes multiple "pushes" on the buttons to get it to function. Turning the TV on,...

There seems to be an issue with the Harmony 880/890 where, after a time, certain buttons that are used more often become unresponsive. They either need to be pressed very firmly (and sometimes held down for a few seconds), or they stop working entirely. This is probably due to the wearing out of the metallic bubble button that is beneath the film adhesive of the circuit board. However, the symptoms you describe can also be attributed to the IR LED's starting to go bad. Here are things you can look for to try to determine if the buttons are wearing out or the LED's are beginning to fail - Do the controls work any better if you are standing closer to the devices? Try from a 1-2 ft away. If things seem to improve, then the LED's are the culprit. If the results are the same, then watch the top of the LCD screen and when you push a problematic button, do you see the 'transmit wave' appear? Push the button down harder and hold it down longer. Does that make a difference? If so, the buttons are wearing out. If it turns out that the LED's are the issue, you can get these swapped out. Check my other posts for instructions. If the buttons are the problem, these are a little more difficult to repair, so you may want to try the 're-mapping' strategy as described below. Remember, the beauty of this remote is that you can create 'soft' keys using the LCD screen and re-map almost any key you like. Here is a link to a good post on the Logitech2_bing.gif forum which describes how to test the buttons and re-map them. Good Luck!

How do you disconnect the flyback cable on a panasonic pt-53tw53g?

Sometimes these can be very difficult to get out. Try pushing in then turning 1/4 turn and then pull. It should let go without destroying the end of the lead. There should be a metal piece on the end of the lead.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.
If you need further assistance please comment to this post and I will try to help you further.
