Question about Toshiba Satellite M305D-S4830 Notebook

1 Answer

I ordered a keyboard with Korean letters and I switched the settings by mistake in an effort to use the keyboard with the American and Korean letters on it. while I was successful at making it work, I have no idea how to switch it back. Now the laptop keyboard types something other than what I type unless I use the other (Korean/English) keyboard plugged in the keyboard slot, how do I switch it back?

SOURCE: A35-S159 keyboard problem

If you haven't tried this, please do. Please go to Start-Control Panel-Hardware-Device Manager. Select the keyboard then click on the keyboard device then select uninstall or properties-driver tab-uninstall. After this, please restart your laptop and check if it works this time. If it does not work, it is a hardware problem since if it is a software problem, all keys should be affected. Hope this helps. Thank you.

SOURCE: keyboard on lab top

Hi again, Steven,

It sounds like the "film" under your keys may have been the victim of a rainy day :-)
- Or just worn out, it’s only a thin film, and if you use the keyboard like an old typewriter, then :-)
If you are not familiar with how to take your laptop apart, I´d suggest that you have someone to put in a new film for your keyboard.
It will typical cost you one hour plus the film, about $20.

Regards
Teis

This means that NUM LOCK is set to on. All you have to do is to press the Fn key and then locate the NumLock key and press it. The num lock is usually also highlighted with the same color as the Fn key.

Try looking for the option of swiping the spacebar to the left or right. if that doesn't work, go into settings, go to languages and input, go to the gear button next to samsung keyboard. press "select input languages, and check both english and korean. go back to to google voice typing and do that again.
