This is from a service bulletin. This may be of interest to you. There have been some problems with these machines in this area.

F1 Error Code
WTW6200S WTW6300S WTW6400S WTW6600S WTW6700T
MTW6300T MTW6400T MTW6500T MTW6600T MTW6700T
Serial Numbers: CT01 – CU52
There are four areas of concern that can cause the F1 Error Code. Each area must be sequentially addressed to ensure
that the diagnosis is correct and the proper repair is completed.
A) Air leaks in the air pressure (switch/sensor) hose.
a. Inspect the hose for cracks, pin-holes or loose connection.
b. Replace the hose and harness assembly (W10058730) if it is compromised.
B) Moisture in the air pressure (switch/sensor) hose.
a. Inspect the hose for evidence of water.
b. Replace the hose and harness assembly (W10058730) if water is detected.
C) Lint or flashing in the air dome hose connection port.
a. Inspect the air dome hose connection port for lint or flashing.
b. Use a small round device (small screwdriver) to ensure that there is nothing blocking the air dome outlet on
the tub.
D) The control needs to be replaced.
a. Replace the control only after you have completed steps A – C above, and verified that there are no issues
with the air pressure system.

I would attempt to contact the manufacturer and see if any repair/parts costs will be covered. Some folks have said that they had some costs covered, while others have stated that they got no assistance from them, so I don't know what the outcome will be, but it is worth a try in my opinion. Really sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

F1 appears on my machine within a few minutes when the machine is started. I have to stand there for a few minutes & push pause/start again. What does F1 means

I actually had the same problem and read some other blogs and found that this is a control board issue. Whirlpool actually had a recall on these boards and should cover the part and labor to fix. I called them today at 1-800-253-1301 and they are coming out to fix my washer this week. When you call they just need the model number and the serial number. Both can be found just inside the lid on your washer. Good luck!

Whirlpool Cabrio top loading washer F1 Error

F1 means the control board is shot. Call whirlpool and they should take care of the parts and labor even though your machine is out of warranty.

Help our frigidare double oven is locked and we cannot get the chicken out....it keeps beeping and showing an f1 symbol

Press Clear/Off to stop the beeping... then press clear/off again. If it doesn't unlock - wait about 15 minutes for it to cool down.

The F1 error means the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) board has a failure - and thought there was a run-away temperature condition.

It should allow itself to unlock after a few minutes of cool-down.

For additional help in finding a replacement part - a Model # will be required.

F1

jenkle, F then 1 flashes when there is a primary control failure. There is a couple of things you can try. 1. Unplug the machine for 2 minutes and see if the error returns. If it does, try activating the auto diagnostic mode. With the washer plugged in and all indicator lights off, select any key except power, start and stop. Here's what you do; press/hold for 3 seconds, release for 3 seconds, press/hold for 3 seconds, release for 3 seconds, press and hold for 3 seconds. If you did it right all indicators will light and 88 will appear in the display. If there are any faults, they will then display, look for a F-60 through 68. This will confirm the board is corrupt. If no faults are found the machine will go through a five minute automatic test cycle. To stop the test, just press stop/cancel. Check your owners manual and see how long the board is warranteed.
