Question about Tomtom GO 720 GPS Receiver
My GO720 has tape over the SD slot and a simulated plastic SD card inserted. The tape says "No SD required" If an SD card is usable what functions, maps, songs, etc can be down loaded that can be usable on the 720
The "no SD required" is just letting you know that all of the important stuff to make the unit run is all on the hard drive of the unit itself. Yes you can use a SD card to hold maps, photos, or music. For instance if you were going to Europe, you will be able to get a European Map and download it onto the SD card. Another instance would be if you wanted to download some mp3 files.
