I have a problem with my CDW60W13 Currys Essential dishwasher. The door will not click shut and springs open. I've had a look at the locking mechanism and can see nothing wrong.

There is usually a little latch on those mechanism to keep the door closed. If the latch breaks, the lock spring just pops the door back open when you attempt to close it.

I would repair the lock mechanism. Try for the part.

I have a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo the hood will not open. I had someone pull the latch while I hit the top of the hood to pop, nothing. I have also had someone pull the latch while I pull up on the hood and...

Don't pull up on the front, but press down hard, while someone pulls on the handle.

Try whacking it some more there, too, while latch is being pulled. Another place to hit is at rear of hood on driver's side.
If it still won't open, you may have to get your hand on the hood latch to move the lever that the handle cable attaches to. The lever would have to move towards the driver's side to pop the latch. Sometimes a long screwdriver poked up from underneath may reach the latch. Or you may be able to get your hand in past the grill, or remove the grill to get your hand to the latch.
When you do get it open, put a few drops of oil on the latch mechanism, and see if any adjustments can be made to open it easier either on the hood itself, or the latch mechanism. Just about all cars have a way to adjust the latch.
Good luck.

Front passenger side door doesn't unlock automatically

Mine has the same issue. Took the door panels off, disconnected the 4 rods (hard to pop off) and two power connecters from the latch mechanism, and removed the latch. On the latch I found that the lever from the power lock portion of the assembly is popping out of the socket it is supposed to stay in. There is a boot around the fitting at the end of the level that looks worn. The real fix is to replace the latch assembly with a new one. However, I am going to flip the boot 180 degrees, add a dab of silicon, and put the level end back in place. When reinstalling the latch back onto the door you may want to purchase 4 new rod retainers as the old ones are likely worn and are prone to breaking when removing the rods.

Hood is jammed closed, inside latch will not release side latch is fully up, no pop on hood. hood is locked tight

I am not familiar with this particular car, however MANY times I have opened a hood by having one person hold the lever up (or out), while another presses down or hits with a closed fist, the hood near where it latches. After you get it open, thoroughly clean and lubricate the latch mechanism. I hope this helps you get in.

Braun latch

I had the same problem.  Press the blue button to make the "head" of the charging mechanism pop up (probably already stuck this way), then pull it up slowly but firmly.  It should pop out with little difficulty.  Keep pulling it up until you've removed the entire head from the charger, but make sure you don't pull far enough to yank out the wire that attaches the head to the charger base.
You will expose a spring housed in a white tube on the base of the charger.  Pull out the spring, then reassemble.  The head won't pop up automatically anymore, but you'll be able to pop it up by hand--an easy tradeoff for a working clean and charge!
