When I use the Bontrager super charger pump on a Presta valve I get up to about 45lbs and it releases and deflates the tire. What I am I doing wrong here?

You are probably pushing the pump on too far before clamping it onto the valve stem, thereby keeping the valve pressed down/open. Once you reach enough pressure the pump can't hold on any more. Put it on just far enough so it clamps on the valve stem, so that the valve closes when you aren't pumping air into the tire.

REPLACED THE CONTROL SWITCH W/REGULATOR ON/OFF SWITCH. NOW IT RUNS BUT THE PRESSURE RELEASE VALVE IS POPPING. DID NOT HAVE THAT PROBLEM PRIOR

The pressure switch shuts the motor off when a designated pressure is reached. If you took that unit off then it wont shut off and builds pressure until the safety valve opens.

My D55141 heavy duty 2gal (7.6L) 150 psi max builds pressure up to around 150 releases pop off valve then keeps running, what causes this problem?

The pressure switch is either out of adjustment or has failed. The compressor should shut off at a much lower pressure than the safety valve (~100 psi)

I have a cap2060 Bostitch pancake. When pressure builds to 125psi the pressure switch blows open and starts to release air. I replaced the switch and the same thing is happening. Is there a way to adjust...

A little suggestion as most compressors are build up similar in the same way if your Pressure relief valve (unloader valve) will start continues blow off until all pressure is lost , it has nothing to do with the pressostat switch in most case there is a problem with the checkvalve on the tank sometimes there are metal little oxidized parts coming out from the cilinder like the pressure hose connections Oxidized couplings or membrane you can open and inspect the spring and rubber valve iside the checkvalve clean it from corrosion and metal parts.

My M-1820 air compressor is blowing all the pressure out of the pressure release on the centrifugal unloader when it builds max PSI. When the pump is running there is no leaks but when it stops pumping it...

Without knowing what make compressor you have;
- if it leaks air while the pump is running, replace the unloader valve
- if it leaks air after the pump shuts off, replace the tank check valve

Air is popping off and on out of the brass valve mounted in the pipe coming out of the motor head. Is valve defective?

First, how much pressure are you at when it is going off? If it is high pressure, this is a serious and potentially dangerous situation. the pressure relief valve is a safety release to keep it from blowing. If it is at low pressure it would be rare for a PRESSURE RELIEF VALVES have to have a real problem. Check to make sure it is seated properly. Often there is a round wire on attached to make a handle for manual release. If this gets hung up on surrounding parts or twisted it might set the valve on the pinnacle of release.

My bp monitor 04-203-001. Inflation bulb doesn't inflate after I squeeze it, fast enough to build up enough pressure for a reading. Bad release valve maybe. Need cheap fix..

Hi,
The valve is the problem.The valve release the pressure quickly so when you squeeze it gets released.You have to just take apart the valve.There is no need for change of valve.Keep some thin paper at the tip of the valve screw and turn the valve.Check the bulb is properly closed.

post a comment for further assistance.
Thank you for using fixya have a nice day:-)
