First try to boot with new ram or try your ram in other cpu to confirm that its due to ram problem or something else......then try to replace your cmos battery or chk it with multimeter whether its working or not then try to change SMPS with new one............

Please need your help. When i put on my laptop( acer tmp 453) the screen is totally black. Happened after removing RAM and hard disk

Did you put the RAM back in? A PC will not boot without RAM. If you put the ram back in and its still doing it i would try reseating the RAM module(s) or trying different slots.

Computers doesn't startup and has no beep

remove the RAM chip and start the computer without the ram chip inserted and see if you get beeps if yes the motherboard/bios is ok, even if you dont get to hear any beeps, try rubbing the edge of the ram which goes into the ram slot using a Eraser and then reinsert the same back in Ram slot and then see if you can at least get to bios and see if hard disk is detected as windows boots from hard disk if yes check if you can boot to windows if no may need to reinstall windows.please reply with results so that can help

My pc will not boot up with both ram memslots filled take on ram out either one dosnt matter and it works fine put it bacvk in and locks aftwer boot or not boot at all

Hello
You need to seperate the ram sticks.Im assuming you have 4 slots.Color coded.Say 2 blue 2 white.
So 1 stick goes in white slot and the other goes in blue slot.

Or if you have 2 slots and while using both ram sticks you still can not boot up.This is beacause one of the sticks is different then the other.Read the ifno on the sticks.Something is not the same.

I was cleaning my HP Compaq dx2000 mt and forgot to put on the ram chips and turned it on and it beeped 5 times and a red led flashed 5 times, I put back the ram chips and turn it on and it doesn't...

Done it myself, RAM should have booted up after reinstalling the RAM.
Need to check very close on the RAM slots and make sure the the one slot on the btton of the RAM stick is directly down into the slot guide as can be forced but end clip would not set.

If this does not solve your problem I would suggest resetting the CMOS of your computer as it may have locked it out, CMOS finds all devices installed on the mainboard and addresses them to prepare for boot.

I am sending you a link to the HP support manual page for your review for how to clear the bios and boot back up to reset the CMOS up again. You might have reset your time and Date.

Let me know if good to go or if you still cannot boot or have the "Orange" led.

Please go to the HP link below by coping and pasteing into your web browser. The LED listing and CMOS resetting is on page #2 on the right side of the Adobe PDF document..

Will not boot up.

1. check your video card it may not be seated in the pci slot provided on the mother board or it may have lost the driver set. This will require a re-install of the video card. If the video card is on the mother board this will require another video graphic card to be install via the pci slot or pci express graphics slot compatible with your PC.

Laptop doesn't recognize new ram

I would guess that you need PC 133. Some manufactures that were using SDram at the time required PC133 while others would require but allow you to use PC100.

This is the requirement for your laptop from www.crucial.com

Each memory slot can hold SDRAM, PC133 with a maximum of 256MB per slot.*

Hope this helps

Dell Latitude D600 - RAM not recognized

One of the DIMMS might be incompatible or faulry.
Put one DIMM in at a time to determine which is not working.
If they both work separately then it appears they are incompatible together. Try to get the DIMMs from the same manufacturer, with the same specs.

Acer travelmate 2003lc will not boot with new ram

512MB (FT64MSD64V3F)
200 Pin Dimm - SDRAM - 2.5V - DDR - PC2700 (PC-333) - Non-ECC

is the correct type of RAM for your laptop.
Have you tried booting with all combinations.

512 in slot 1 --- Boots
move same dimm to slot 2 (on it's own) and try booting.
boot with 256mb in slot 1 and known to be good 512 in number 2

This laptop should allow up to 2GB RAM. So I don't belive it is an issue with the mother board not seeing the amout of RAM. I think it could either be flaky dimm or your slot 2 is damaged
