Sometimes they can click or snap back in place.. yet do not press really hard to do this...

otherwise get a replacement keyboard for your model laptop off ebay.com

follow the simple instructions on the manufacturers website under repair directions... try google search if the manufacturers site does not have

the new keyboard at a local shop is a 40-80usd job...

This is a very hard thing to see when your computer work perfectly and then small things bring it down…your option is to add USB or wireless board or replace the keyboard the first one is the cheapest and fastest

You will not find replacement keys for the keyboard, even if you do - they might not be of the same make / color / design... You are better off, getting a new one.
Alternately, you can get an older similar keyboard from ebay / other store and replace just the keys :)

I have a Yamaha PSR-170 that has a jammed key

Most keyboards of that scale are not especially fragile. You may have to remove the back (lots of screws) and maybe a bezel that is across the top of the keys to get full access to the keys. The good thing is you have lots of working models --- all the other keys. So carefully consider the differences. It may be that one or more plastic parts have broken, particularly if it fell and landed with pressure on that key.

Most of the keyboard manufacturers have parts departments that can supply just the part of the keyboard you need if you can specify exactly what you want.

Missing notebook key

Hi,

Unfortunately, yes....You cannot purchase a new KEY.

If you have an old keyboard, or you can go to any of the local shops, they might have wasted keyboard.....And you can ask for a single key.

Use the below procedure to attach the key to our keyboard.

Thanks.

Gateway notebook key fell off keyboard

Unfortunately, there is no instruction out there for this. My advice is to take one of the other key off in order to see how it fits, then put the key back on the same as the other. I suggest a key right next to the one that is off. Be very gentle and try to remove only the key, leaving the retainer.

F key came off

1.
If you have the key retainer (image) you can find some good instructions on the webpage.

2.
If you do not have the retainer you will have to buy either the key or the entire keyboard from ebay. As of Jan 1 there are no keys available for acer keyboards but the entire keyboard is available here and here.
