Where can I locate the wireless switch button on my acer aspire 5315?

There are four Easy Launch buttons above the Keyboard.

First one has a symbol of a circle with a line in the top, and a dot at the bottom.

This is the Wireless communication button, and also is an indicator light.

It enables, or disables the wireless function.
Red light indicates there is no Wireless communication on.

On the acer 5315 laptop range not enough air circulates throughout the laptop and therefore constantly hot by replacing your wireless card will fix the problem and depending on which operating system you have will self install or you will have to go to the acer website for the drivers for it, also have you tried pressing the Fn button on your keyboard and on the top row press one of the F buttons that looks like a wireless antenna as that turns it on and off as some machine automatically turns it off every time you shut it down. if you have any further assistance please use the comment box, Kronoguy

there is wireless enabling button on you laptop. according to that u can turn on and off the wifi in your laptop. in some laptops the button is on side but in some the button is located in the keyboard

On the Acer Aspire 5315, you will see, above the keyboard, a set of quicklaunch buttons. The one on the far left that looks like an image of a satelite is the button that will allow you to maunally enable or disable the wireless adapter.

The Acer Aspire 5315-2153 notebook was designed with a built-in 802.11b/g Wireless LAN card. The wireless card is typically enabled using a small toggle switch located at the front, left of the PC.

The switch moves to the left and has what appears to be a "satellite dish" icon stenciled just to the right of it.

Toggle once to turn the card on and again to turn it off.

either a switch on the front or by pressing the fn + F? buttons together not sure of the F button number but it should have some kind of wireless logo on it.

Hi there is also a button you press on very top of keyboard. Where the volume controls are to far left i think.

At the top of your key board right below the power button, there is a row of hotkeys the far left one is the wireless button. Press that and the wireless should be turned on.

For example, F10 is the switch for your wireless, you may press Fn + F10 and you will see a pop-up balloon saying that your wireless is now enabled.
