Re: Dead Space PC will not run
Saying that his video card is 8600M GS. Being a mobile class card meaning that he's installing that on his laptop, Its clear that it is not recommended for the game to be running on his device because of the minimum specs of it. If you have a desktop, you could try installing it there and see if it proceed to complete the installation.

Adobe Photoshop CS2 have some system requirements to be meet before installation, the requirements are listed below: (if you don't meet any of the minimum you should upgrade your hardware to install this software) (hopes this helps)
To run Photoshop CS2, PC users
should have one of the following processors: Intel Centrino, Xeon, Xeon
Dual, Pentium III or a Pentium 4 processor.
Mac users who want to install Adobe Photoshop CS2 need at least a PowerPC G3, G4 or G5 processor.
Photoshop CS2 requires at least a
PC that runs Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Windows 2000 users need
Service Pack 4. Windows XP users need Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2.
Mac users can run Photoshop CS2 on OS X versions 10.2.8 through
10.3.8 at least. However, Adobe recommends versions 10.3.4 through
Both PCs and Macs can run
Photoshop CS2 with 320 megabytes of RAM though Adobe recommends running
the program with at least 384 megabytes of RAM.
Before installing Adobe Photoshop CS2 on a PC, make sure you have at least 650 megabytes of hard-disk space free.
If you are installing CS2 on a Mac, check to make sure you have at least 750 megabytes of hard-disk space available.
Monitor and Video Card
Adobe Photoshop CS2 works best
on monitors with a resolution of at least 1024 by 768. A 16-bit video
card is also required. These requirements apply to both PC and Mac
Minimum System Requirements are as follows:
Hard Drive Space :
8 GB Free
Operating System :
Pentium 4 @ 3 GHz
1 GB (2 GB for Vista)
Yes, it should run the game without problems if the rest of your pc specifications meet or exceed requirements.
Here are the requirements for the game. What graphics card are you trying to use? If your PC doesn't meet the specs, you may have to consider upgrading the RAM and graphics card. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Assassin's Creed Processor: Dual core processor 2.6 GHz Intel Pentium D or AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ RAM: 2 GB Video Card: 256 MB DirectX 10.0-compliant video card or DirectX 9.0-compliant card with Shader Model 3.0 or higher Sound Card: DirectX 9.0 or 10.0 compliant sound card HDD Space: 12GB DirectX Version: DirectX 10.0 RECOMMENDED REQUIREMENTS Assassin's Creed Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ or better RAM: 3GB Video Card: 512 MB Card Sound Card: 5.1 Sound Card HDD Space: 12GB DirectX Version: DirectX 10.0
If your video card is only 8MB i don't believe that meets the minimum requirements.
So you might not be able to play this game with your current video card.
Requirements: Operating System: Windows Vista, XP or 2000 CPU: 3.0 GHz P4, Dual Core 2.0 or AMD64X2 (or higher) RAM: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista Disc Drive: DVD-ROM Drive Hard Drive: At least 7.5 GB of free space Video Card: Direct X 9 compatible (must be 256 MB or more with support for pixel shader 2.0) Sound Card: Direct X9.0c compatible
The minimum hardware requirement for Test Drive Unlimited are:
> Pentium 4 2.4Ghz or higher processor > 1 GB of RAM > a 256MB Graphics card (GeForce 6600GT or better) > 8 GB of hard disk space and it runs only on the windows platform. Does your PC meet these requirements? If it does, then, I suggest that you re-install your graphics card's drivers.
When you upgraded your video card, did you also make sure that you were not going over the limit of availible power from your power supply. Once in a while a computer will either tell you that you cant use the computer because it doesnt meet requirements or it just will boot up then shut down immediatly Also, make sure that all drivers are current for both motherboard and video card. I find it best to have both installed before physically installing a new video card.
