SOURCE: Granddaughter forced memory card into slot incorrectly and bent pins

A long pair of needlenose pliers, or possibly tweezers. As you've noticed, it's near impossible to disassemble the needles from the mem card housing.

Most likey your problem is the cf card reader when ever the camera was made they could have not heated up the board all the way causing a cold solderjoint after time this joint becomes week and gets disconnected on the back side no visual damage is seen causing you the error you are getting. best thing to do is take it to a repair shop and have them fix it or the manufacture should repair it for free because there is no fisical damage.

The memory card is the storage medium. You need to have the camera repaired. Do not attempt this repair yourself. You cannot take pictures without a memory card.

SOURCE: My Canon 5D card slot has a bent pin as someone

If you have a light touch and long slender object like a paperclip or micro-tool you can attempt to straighten it if the bend is not too severe. If it is, you may just break it off. If you don't feel comfortable doing this by all means take it to a service tech. Easy does it.

SOURCE: Memory card error when I put my sd card in

You might just need to format it in the camera. This will erase it so download any pictures first using a card reader if necessary.

Bent pin memory card slot

The repair shop, probably will charge more then a new camera, even newer than yours will cost. In my young years I had to learn to adjust relay contacts, and that was not easy, if you want them to survive all. I won't say it is impossible, but it would be a nasty job.
If it is only one pin you have bent, you could try to use one or two little knives or other small and flat tools, and coming from a different side, you could try to come on the pin. If they are not bent that much, you could try to use an old and defect CF card,
Use a little saw, to saw from top to bottom so you are left with a pice with just a few rows of contact holes. you could try to place the piece of the old memory card on a few pins endif they fit, careful press the part of the card down. Or if the pins are bent a lot. shift the part over the pins and try to bent them straight.
I don't know how far the pins are bent, but just try something, without opening the camera.

NONE OF MY SD CARDS WILL GO ALL THE WAY IN THE SD SLOT ON PC ANYMORE.

I rather fear that if you shine a torch into the SD slot, you will find the internl pins are bent or crushed.
If they are, your best bet is to obtain a 5.25" card reader and either replace it in the slot the old one came from, or if that is not possible, remove a dvd bay cover and put it in there

DS not reading game

This is usually due to either bent or dirty pins in the card slot, look inside and see if any pins are bent, if they are a new card slot is needed.

Hope this helps

When i turn on ds lite it says no game inserted

This can be either bent pins in the game slot, which means a new slot. This is a fairly easy thing to do if you have a small solder iron and some skill.
Or corroded/ dirty pins, which you might be able to clean with some fine abrasive paper and very, very careful cleaning, the pins inside are very delicate. Or your game has dirty contacts, try another game or clean off the game contacts.

NO card inserted

look where the game card goes called (slot a) see if the pins are bent or crossed over themselves need good eyes and a torch if so you need to replace the slot a or see if you can clean the pins in the game card with a very stiff pig bristle brush (small school paint brush but cut the bristles to about 5 mm and use it like a scrubbing brush not across but lengthwise) then with it turned on insert the game in and out a few times slowly to see if it worked sometimes the get bad contact with the pins and the card Hope this helps

On the ds lite the picture said there is no ds card inserted when there is

Hi,

This happens a lot!

Two possible options. Take the card out and blow on the card slots to remove any dust etc.
or
Have a look down into the DS slot to see if any of the little copper pins have bent out of place (this happens sometimes from putting in and out the card quickly) if they are bent you may have to replace the card reader.

Memory card error

Hi, I kept getting a "memory card error" on my Canon PowerShot S500 as well. It turns out that one of the pins in the CF memory card slot was bent. Maybe I accidentally bent it while changing the memory card one day. Anyway, I had to take apart the whole camera to get in there and straighten out the pin, but when I put it all back together, it works great! No more errors. Take a look with a flashlight and see if one of your pins are bent. And if you decide to take it apart, be very careful about keeping track of where each screw goes... they are tiny and they are different sizes.

Problem

Look at the bottom of the memory card slot, you probably bent one or more of the contactor pins. Use a small screwdriver and carefully try to straight the bent pin then carefully put the memory card back in. From now on, use a USB cable for downloading your pictures and don't pull the card out anymore as the pin is probably weaker than before and can break. Good luck
