Can they hear you when you are on speakerphone?

If so, then it sounds like the flex cable connecting the microphone to the rest of the phone's guts has come loose or broken. The speakerphone microphone is a separate part from the receiver, and plugs into a different location, so often when the normal mic doesn't work, the speakerphone works fine.

The first thing I would do is try resetting the phone through the settings menu. Backup your data first, as this reset will wipe the phone's data. If the problem remains, you can either open it up and try to fix the cable yourself, or drop it off at a shop for a quick, cheap repair.

Can't make a call do to no sound everything else works but, no sound. I plugged earphones in to listen to music and when I unplugged it I know longer could hear phone calls or when I dial the phone.

Mark, the issue with your phone is with the speaker. This has been confirmed by you when you say the there was sound produced when you used earphones.
You have to get your speaker fixed. Get it done at a local repeir store aroud you.
But in the meantime you could use the earphones for your calls so you can hear them.
But you may still have an issue- hearing your in coming calls- so if you can get a bluetooth headset, that you can hang around your ears, you would hear the calls coming in.
I hope that was helpful to you.
Have a lovely day.

When i make a call or get an incoming call, i can hear people at the other end speaking. but they cant hear what i say. Please do assist me to solve this issue

It may be a hardware problem. to check it go to voice recorder in your phone in record any sound and save it and play it. if you hear good quality sound (loud and clear) then it is not hardware problem. try formatting your phone it will do for you.
and if you hear bad quality or not at all able to hear any sound of recorded clip then it is hardware problem. you can not fix it by yourself you have to go to mobile repairing shop and ask them to install new mike in your phone. it india it cost around Rs100-150.
hope this was helpful.

When i make or rec. calls i can hear them but they can't hear me

Hi, what makes when someone calls you and you can hear the person, but the person can not hear is a problem from the mouth piece of the cell phone and it's damaged . it needs to be replaced

The mouth piece is located inside the cell phone and it makes people calling to hear you when you call. At the lower part inside the cell phone. To get access to see it, you will need to disassemble cell phone for you to be able to replace the mouth piece.

To disassemble the phone, you will need to contact a skill expert in any phone repair store around you for assistance.

I guess that will do.

Feel free to pass your comment..
Thanks for using fixya...

I can't hear my call unless i turen on speakerphone

the smaller speaker for regular calls is most probably dead you can get it replaced for around 10 to 100 Euros depending on model and where you plan to get it fixed its probably best to get a new one if your phone is over 5 y/o as the parts will probably be hard to find...

No one can hear me when i am calling from my phone. I can hear the people i am calling but not the other way around. the guy says i have to pay 60$ for speaker repair while i paid 80$ for the phone...

you may have the phone on mute, which would make you be able to hear the person talking, but they would not hear you. if thats not the problem, i would look into getting a new phone

Can't hear those that call me or when I call others. Can't hear touchtones either.

This happened to my phone and I found that if I pushed in the right spot (just about the bottom of the motorola circle, bottom meaning towards the hinge) I could get the sound to come back in. Best way to test this that I found was to call voicemail and push around to find the right spot.
