Just got home and set up dvd tray will not open lock comes up i have the remote

    Is this a standalone player ? If its on your PC most have a hole that you can place an unbend paper clip into to manually release the tray.

Have unit off then unplug power cord for more than 5 mintues.

Open tray and remove any disks in tray, then Close the tray.
1. Switch Off Player and Unplug from mains wait 30 seconds (this clears RAM)
2. Reconnect to mains
3. Turn on player with remote.
4. Press ENTER on remote.
5. Press 8, 4, 2, 6, 9. Using keys on remote.if your player is already set to region 26. Press ENTER on remote. (The tray will open and player will power off and close tray.)
7. Switch on power from remote.
8. Player is now Region Free.

How can I fix my Sony Blu-Ray player BDP-S3200 with the Eject Key is Unavailable problem?


Try the following: Demo mode locks the tray like child lock
The tray lock should toggle on and off . While the player is turned on, press STOP, HOME, and then TOP MENU
button on the remote to lock or unlock the tray.
Note try by pressing STOP and HOME together then TOP MENU

To get a disc out
1 Turn the player off, and disconnect the AC adaptor.
2 Reconnect the AC adaptor while pressing down (/\ underline)on the player.
3 Keep pressing down (/\ underline) on the player until the tray opens.
Also try resetting - Reset to Factory Default Settings

You need to manually pull (gently please) the dvd tray.

  • 8 Repeat the steps again if the you encounter problems playing the DVD as you may have missed something.

    2. Press the Stop button on the front panel and the Power button on the remote control simultaneously for four seconds.

    DVD will not eject


    The disk cannot be taken out by setting the Tray Lock, please follow the steps below.
    Turn Unit ON.
    Set the DVD to the Stop Mode.
    Press and hold the ‘STOP’ key on the front panel.
    Simultaneously press and hold the ‘9’ key on the remote control unit.
    Hold both keys for more than 2 seconds.
    Press the OPEN/CLOSE key on the front panel to check the Tray Lock setting.

    To unlock the Tray Lock, please follow the steps below.
    Turn Unit ON.
    Set the DVD to the Stop Mode.
    Press and hold the ‘STOP’ key on the front panel.
    Simultaneously press and hold the ‘9’ key on the remote control unit.
    Hold both keys for more than 2 seconds.
    The Tray Lock has now been cleared.
