I am wondering now if it might be my card. How can I test to make sure the card is actually working? The drive is installed, but the yellow exclamation tells me it is not working.

    Thank you.

I guess I thought it was a card. I do not have any lights blinking when I plug my network cable from my linksys router modem to the computer slot, is that not controlled by the card?

I can't see any wirless network, when i search for them.i installed all intell and dell driver . plaz solve this latitude D800

The first thing that I would advise you to do is,

Uninstall the WiFi Adapter totally from the System first,

(For WIndows XP)

Right-Click on my computer Icon, Properties-->Hardware-->Device Manager,

select the WiFi Adapter under network adapters, and right click on it, then select uninstall

Next, Click on Action on that Same page, and select "scan for hardware changes",

This will bring up a prompt to install the new hardware found (Which is your Wifi Adapter).

(For WIndows Vista)

Right-Click on my computer Icon, go to

Properties-->>Device Manager, select the WiFi Adapter under network adapters, and right click on it, then select uninstall

Next, Click on Action on that Same page, and select "scan for hardware changes",

This will also bring up a prompt to install the new hardware found (Which is your Wifi Adapter).

After this, Press your Wifi button on the system and ensure that it is On, then Scan for wireless networks.

It should connect like that.

Try this out and kindly let me know how it goes,

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

I cannot finalize the installation. I can't use

make sure you have the device plugged out, some of these take 3 to 4 minutes to finalize, when it is stuck on this screen try incerting the dongle then.

Or you can just manually install it by directing it from device manager to the driver package u downloaded.

You can download it from Dell's website. You may need to use another computer to get on the internet then save it to a flashdrive or burn it to a cd.

Unable to get on the internet. in device manager network adapters not working. Tried to update, and install from resorce c/d. still not working

your adapter might have burned out. easy thing to do is goto best buy, and buy a new network adapter card. last time i bought one it was around $15 bucks. then disable your current network adapter turn the computer off and then read the directions for installing the new one. the other way would be to download the drivers from dells website from another computer, save on a CD and then try to install them, but i would bet your network adapter just fried but your comp still says its there.
